Another mystery in the Algarve
http://dn.sapo.pt/inicio/portugal/interior.aspx?content_id=1622873&seccao=Sul
A little girl is missing after her father allegedly drowned her mother at the Canavial beach near Lagos. He fled back to Germany and he refuses to say where the girl is. He is now in custody of the German police and awaiting extradition to Portugal.

Let's jut hope he is a doctor with people in high places, otherwise he'll be charged and sentenced, just like normal "plebs" are who commit crimes! (and more than likely sentenced very harshly!)

Re: Missing in Portugal
Now this guy is claiming that he handed the little girl to some passing tourists when he left the beach! The prosecutor in Germany and the PJ both say his story is not credible to say the least. They also believe that he came to Portugal with his girl friend and daughter with the express intention of killing them. The prosecutor confirmed that there were defensive wounds on the woman and she fought for her life. Maybe he chose the Algarve and the Lagos area because he thought he could away with it like the McCanns.
Now here is a case of co-operation between the authorities of the two countries. The suspect was arrested as soon as the warrent was issued and no one is going around saying that this monster is a victim of the nasty Portuguese police.

This case is an example of how two Police Forces from different countries should cooperate. Up until now, the cooperation has been swift and absolutely flawless. But then again, German authorities are known for wanting criminals out of the streets and for treating children who are suspected of having been victims of serious crime as a priority. I suspect this monster had a case in mind when he decided to come to the Algarve. He just should have know better because apparently he doesn't know his own authorities too well.

Re: Missing in Portugal
Do not kill me please.
Perhaps I have read too many whodunits...
But
Imo there is a possibility that he wanted the GIRL, not the mother.
Imo there is a possibility that he handed over the girl to someone he knew (perhaps a pal from Germany).
One cannot rule out the possibility that chily pornography/sexual abuse is involved.
You should know that in Germany Berlin is place number one for paedocriminals, place two is Munich...

We did not know that they would not co-operate with the Portuguese when it came to a child disappearing in strage circumstances. Even to go so far as to help with a cover up! That is what I meant.

Lilemor, he killed them because the woman was going to the justice and demand that he recognise the child as his daughter. That was the motive of the crime.

Ok, thanks.
Sure. But what I was trying to say is that this monster could have been influenced by the circumstances of the McCann case. But sadly for him, this time things went very differently and cooperation has been swift and pretty much perfect with German authorities publicly speaking and helping Portuguese authorities as much as possible. I was born in Germany and I'm glad to see that some things haven't changed.

I know, I did read the newspapers here in Bavaria.
But who can say by now that not other components did play a roll, too?
I don´t know.
Of course, I hope the police will find the little girl alive and well.

We can't know. But we also can't make up things and there's no indication of anything of the sort from either Police Force.
Obviously I also hope the little angel is found alive, but I have my doubts. How would he be able to get rid of her in 3 hours if he didn't kill her? Moreover, the little angel is the proof he needs to make disappear. Sometimes I rethink my anti death penalty position. In cases involving children, I feel like changing my mind.

It is a very strange case.
The PJ and german cops will investigate and cooperate at full blast these days.
And they will investigate the killers friends and where they do live, too.
In cases in which lives of children are at stage I would prefer to allow torture, really.
I can understand every cop who loses patience in such cases.
To know the little vulnerable victim could be in serious trouble...
The missig girl is such a beautiful child!
Big shame on the guy who killed her mother!
Big shame on the involved one(s)!!!
Imo little Alex is dead.

Re: Missing in Portugal
Any case about a Portuguese missing - child or adult - is now not allowed to be posted on the Internet, without the previous authorization from PJ. So, in this area it can just be discussed old cases. In case there's a new one; not only we can't post here as any discussion can take place.
