Re: michael douglas....
My uncle is still fighting after more than a year after diagnosis and radiation therapy.
Re: michael douglas....
Many years ago, when I was a student living in Bournemouth, I had gone to see a film with a friend and we were driving home when my friend spotted a couple in evening dress walking around on the grass on a very large traffic island. Being a very kind person, my friend stopped and asked the couple if they were all right. The male of the couple told my friend that instead of dropping them at their hotel, a taxi driver had just left them there. We were in my friend's really tatty mini van and after he offered to take the very well-dressed couple to their hotel, they hopped into the back and sat amongst the rugs and tools and stuff.
We got to the hotel and we were invited to join the couple in the hotel's club. No introductions had been made, but as we went into the club, my friend commented to the man with the American accent that he looked like Kirk Douglas. The man's response was, "There's a real good reason for that!" We then spent a couple of hours dining and dancing with the lovely Mr Douglas and his beautiful wife as a thank you for taking them to their hotel. They never behaved like celebs. They were down-to-earth, friendly and actually interested in two scruffbag students!
Michael Douglas is like a clone of his father and if he is anything like his father in nature, then he is a lovely person and I wish him well.

Re: michael douglas....
I wish him well too.
My lovely dad was diagnosed with throat cancer almost 24 years ago.
Thanks to the treatment he received, we still have him, and he celebrated his 70th birthday in June. I hope that Michael and all other sufferers recover too.

That's wonderful!
My uncle was diagnosed around a year ago when he was 76. Unfortunately, he lost his voice but not his will to fight and live.

Re: michael douglas....
There is no doubt that many types of Cancer can be cured today, but the cause of Cancer which is so rife is still
a mystery.
I wish Michael a speedy recovery like everyone else in this World who is battling the disease.
