Dutch woman arrested after bodies of three infants found in her shed

Dutch prosecutors say a 41-year-old woman from the Netherlands has been arrested on suspicion of killing three infants.

Prosecution spokesman Eugene Baak said the woman was arrested on Friday after a tip off.

She was questioned and then a search of her shed in Geleen, in the south of the country, uncovered the first body on Tuesday.

Police dogs found two more yesterday.

Mr Baak said today that the woman, believed to be the infants' mother, will be held until a court hearing on September 14.

It comes less than a month after a similar case in northern Netherlands.

Police arrested a 25-year-old woman on suspicion of killing four of her babies shortly after birth, and hiding their bodies in her attic.

And in France, a woman was arrested in July on suspicion of suffocating eight of her newborns.
