QPR in the crapper ? Empty QPR in the crapper ?

Post  Lioned Wed 9 Mar - 23:38

It was a bad day for rangers (apart from getting clobbered at the Den) as the FA discover some naughty financial affairs, would be a turn up if the runaway leaders get docked a few points, mind you they let west sham get away with it last year so the precedent been set....

The Football Association have charged Championship leaders Queens Park Rangers with seven breaches of regulations relating to third-party ownership and agents.

The charges relate to Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Faurlin, who signed for Rangers for a club-record fee believed to be in the region of £3.5million in 2009.

The club have been charged with agreeing a deal with a third party for the player's economic rights and allegedly failing to notify the FA of the arrangement before registering Faurlin.

The club have also been charged with allegedly using or seeking to pay an Unauthorised Agent in relation to the player's registration in July 2009. This charge is brought under the Players Agents Regulations, A1.‬

QPR statement
QPR have issued a statement protesting their innocence and they are confident they will be cleared over the charges.

It read: "Queens Park Rangers and Gianni Paladini can confirm that they have received charges from the Football Association.

"Having co-operated fully with the FA's investigation, QPR and Mr Paladini shall be denying all of the charges and requesting a formal FA hearing to determine them.

"QPR and Mr Paladini are confident that there has been no deliberate wrongdoing involved.

"Given this matter will now be dealt with by an FA hearing, neither the Club nor Mr Paladini are able to make any further comment.

As long as no points deductions let them red dog barstewards into the play offs - I don't care what they do with QPR. How Cardiff can have the likes of Bellamy in their squad I despair. Something's going to have to happen. We can't compete with the likes of QPR, Cardiff, Leicester...I mean, Yakuboo (?spelling) on loan to them for 'alledgedly' 40 grand a week...at the end of the day, there is 3 places going up - a lot of clubs are going to be in a lot of trouble come June.

Hi rammy, you sound a bit depressed.Hope you are ok ! Agree with what you say, forest turned us over at the Den but we hung on for a 0 - 0 draw and the stats said about 70% possession to them !! After that we turned over QPR and Burnley.Got davy jones sheep shaggers tomorrow, rumour is bellamys injured but i hope thats just talk cos we like to see quality players 'melt'.Think he'll stand up to the intimidation though,he's had plenty of practice,if he 'braves' it he'll get respect.
I'm enjoying the footie at the moment and i think Kenny Jacket has proved you dont need stacks of cash to hold your own in this division and with a little bit of luck we could do a Blackpool.
I would rather stay in this division as it has lots of good games and the premiershit is a step too far i think.

QPR,get out of jail free.

Well with a fine of about 800k which is pants for them being the richest club around pretty much.

They where the best team in the division, though we drew at their place and thrashed them at the Den,but they deserved promotion and its not the players or fans fault if the club breaks the rules.
It stinks of another cop out frankly. If your going to have rules and point deductions then you should apply them consistently.
Trouble is the FA messed up with the wet sham and Tevez business when no doubt Brooking intervened. So now they've made their bed lets see what the next offenders get ?
