Our new lodger

This handsome/pretty lizard has made it's home in the little wall at the side of the fish pond.

I thinkthese lizards are called "eyed lizards, according to the information on them they are the largest european lizards when fully grown. Cats are quite safe from them I think kitti, it is the lizards that are not safe from the cats. We had one living in the same place last year but it was quite a bit bigger than the current one. I presume, although I'm not sure, that they must lay their eggs somewhere in our garden, we seem to have some smaller ones living in an outside part of the house where the washing machine, water heater etc are.
