Three disabled children killed by their monitor in Valladolid

The Mensajeros por la Paz, the owners of a centre for disabled children in Valladolid, and their Preisdent, Father Ángel, has said that the death of three of the children and the arrest of a monitor has been ‘a case of craziness, of bad luck’, and there was no negligence.

The centre is in Boecillo, Valladolid, where the bodies of a three year old girl, and two boys aged nine and fourteen were found at 0915 on Monday morning. Two of the children are reported to be Spanish, while the third is of foreign origin.

First indications are that they were suffocated, and three children had a disability which resulted in much reduced movement.

The arrested 55 year old female monitor is reported to be injured, with stab wounds to her wrists and head, and is under custody in hospital. She is of Uruguayan origin and worked at the centre at weekends and had done so for several years.

The Boecillos Town Hall has declared three days of official mourning, and Civil Protection has sent a team of psychologists from the Junta de Castilla y León to assist those affected at the centre.

The judge has imposed reporting restrictions.

These poor little darlings had NO way off defending themselves ....they must off been terrified before they died.


What on earth possessed her to do such a thing...doesn't matter how hard she thought their life was.....they didn't have a choice whether they were going to live or die...she took that away from them.


How can a person say it was a case off 'bad luck'...what's luck got to do with murder?


Very odd phrase to use at THAT moment, don't you think!

I think it is a real tragedy and suspect the Monitor , maybe with problems of her own, had to deal with 3 fractious children and just snapped, trying to
kill herself when she saw what she had done. Having worked there for Years she obviously was a very caring Person.
