Jodi Henrickson
It has now been four months since Jodi Henrickson went missing, with essentially no new information in the case. We are more or less in the exact same position as four months ago: knowing absolutely nothing. While the media may have switched focus off of Jodi, the search for Jodi still continues, with the RCMP still actively investigating. Once again I would like to emphasize that all of your support has helped us to remain positive, and is very much appreciated.
If there is anyone on Bowen Island, that hasn't told the RCMP everything they know, please come forward, every little detail aids us in finding Jodi. Even if you think its the most insignificant thing, it may provide the missing link in the investigation. The current situation is essentially a stalemate and your information could help break it.
Despite some of the claims from people that do not know Jodi, it is absolutely not in her nature for her to run away, or go any length of time without phoning home. When Jodi left that friday afternoon, she left with a smile, with absolutely no negativity
Situation Summary:
On the evening of June 19th(morning of the 20th), Jodi went missing after attending a house party on Bowen Island. People recall seeing Jodi leave the party, then later seeing her with the ex-boyfriend (who was found guilty of assault on Jodi on June 5th). As of right now the last person to have seen Jodi was the ex-boyfriend. He claims that he just turned around walked off, leaving Jodi alone at an intersection, some time around 4-5 am of that morning. To this date the ex-boyfriend refuses to take a polygraph (lie-detector test).

Jodi Henrickson, 27, went missing after leaving a house party in June 2009.Photograph by: Handout, Henrickson familyPolice are treating the 2009 disappearance of a 17-year-old girl on Bowen Island as a homicide.
Jodi Henrickson went missing early on June 20, between 4 and 6:30 a.m., after leaving a house party. She was on the island for the weekend to visit friends.
Ex-boyfriend Gavin Arnott said he walked with Henrickson along Miller Road at around 5:30 a.m. They had a tense conversation, he said, and he walked away, leaving her on the road.
Henrickson wasn't reported missing until June 24 by her family, who didn't expect her home in Squamish until then.
Henrickson would have turned 18 on Feb. 23.
Sea-to-Sky Regional Police Service and the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team have been extensively investigating the case since Henrickson went missing, but will renew their inquiries on Bowen Island during the next few weeks.
Police believe that she was a victim of foul play. Although there have been numerous tips and possible sightings of Henrickson, all have proven to be unfounded.
Investigators don't think Jodi ran away or that she made it off the island on her own accord. Her disappearance has been classified as a homicide.
Anyone with information should contact the General Investigation Section at Squamish RCMP detachment 604-892-6100. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
