My grandparents always used to say that the years pass more quickly the older you get. It certainly feels that way. I still dream of being able to stop time. Our only alternative however is to continue doing as much as we can to the best of our ability to enhance the search for Madeleine. So that is what we’ll do.
Thank you to everyone who has bought and read my book. Not only is this helping to fund our investigation and campaign, it will also improve and maintain awareness of Madeleine and our need to find her. It seems obvious that the more people who are informed worldwide, the more eyes and ears Madeleine will have assisting the search for her. We are really grateful for your support.
We also appreciate the general public’s help in achieving a review of Madeleine’s case. It is a big relief to us that our government finally agreed for a review to take place. We are grateful to them and to the Metropolitan Police Service for undertaking this fundamental and highly valuable procedure which has been underway now for several months. Although it will be a lengthy and difficult process, it is definitely a major step forward for Madeleine.
I would also like to thank everyone who has written to us or sent their support in some way over the past six months. We have once again been touched by the incredible kindness and commitment shown to us and Madeleine, and bolstered by the continuing encouragement and positivity.

So is this shorthand for - the book is a nice little earner thank you very much; and-
The 'review' is going nicely in our favour - thank you very much....??
Of course neither of these might be true but they do like to give the impression that everything is going there way and under their control.
In fact it seems this little missive from Kate is more in response to the discussions that are being had on the forums - about the sucess (or not) of the booik and that possibly, if there is a just and independent policeforce - the 'review' might just jump up and bite them in the bum!!
On that note I wonder how much correspondence there has been between the McCan's and SY on the progress of the 'review'????

It looks like it could either be some sort of psycho-therapy or maybe a neo-class religion???

Iris she probably meant to say "peasants" that is the way it reads to me.
Also why this? "My grandparents always used to say that the years pass more quickly the older you get. It certainly feels that way. I still dream of being able to stop time. Why would she want to "stop time" now when everything is looking so promising for her with the "review" going on.

I think she means stop time before whatever happened, happened. A bit like her swimming out to sea and push a button and we're all gone anologies. some sort of psychobabble, if she isn't having treatment she needs it.

When I read that post by Kate, I couldn't help but be amazed by the McCanns' lack of urgency. She doesn't seem to mind that the review will be "a lengthy and difficult process". Isn't she in a hurry to get her daughter home? If they truly wanted her home and if she had in fact been abducted they would never have allowed the case to be shelved and now they are just content with a review!! They are happy as long as the status quo is maintained and they are no longer arguidos.

It sounds like the Queen's speech (only different) ! 'our government , looking back over the year....we look forward to' etc.

The way she writes, without a single 'you know' - must have had a little help there. Thanking all of us who have bought and read Mein Kampf, which thank goodness is bringing in some much needed ££££'s in the ever diminishing coffers of our fund.....
She does make it sound as if the SY is working for them and as if the population of Great Britain has risen up to demand justice for the McCs.
But yes, the lack of urgency reminds me of an anecdote of the Spanish Ambassador and the president of Ireland, de Valera.
The Ambassador wanted to know if the Irish had a word such as 'Manana' - de Valera thought for a while and then said: 'We do have a word rather like it, but it doesn't convey any of the urgency of 'manana'. A lovely Irish answer, I always thought.
The McCs will be very happy if this goes on for another four years or so.
Bad news is Kate, book has peaked now. Downhill all the way, chances of a second book are nil. Whereas we're waiting for Amaral's two books to come out in English soon!
