Isabel read law at Jesus College, Cambridge, and having trained at Carter-Ruck she qualified with the firm in 2003 and became a partner in 2011. Isabel is a Solicitor-Advocate, having obtained Higher Rights of Audience in 2007.

Isabel specialises in defamation and has acted for high profile individuals (including a number of leading Members of Parliament), corporations and charities. Together with Managing Partner Cameron Doley, Isabel has a substantial Middle Eastern practice, having advised governments from the region on a number of non-media disputes, and has also represented government officials and royal family members in libel actions.

During 2006 and 2007 Isabel represented a number of individuals falsely accused of involvement in terrorist plots, including the alleged "liquid bombs" plot to blow up a number of passenger aircraft, securing published and broadcast apologies and damages totalling over £700,000.

In 2008 Isabel assisted Partner Adam Tudor in representing Kate and Gerry McCann in bringing libel complaints following a sustained media campaign of false allegations concerning the disappearance of their daughter Madeleine. Mr and Mrs McCann obtained unprecedented front page apologies from the Daily Express, Daily Star and their sister Sunday titles, in addition to £550,000 in damages for libel (all of which were paid to the fund set up to find Madeleine).

The 2009 and 2010 editions of the legal directory Chambers and Partners lists Isabel as an "Associate to Watch" in the field of Defamation and Reputation Management, and describes her as "industrious and talented" and a "rising star" with a "concise and efficient approach."

Isabel also undertakes privacy, data protection and commercial litigation cases, including breach of contract and professional negligence matters.
