ON September 17, in a report about internet trolls who have posted sick comments on missing Madeleine McCann, we stated that David Bret had accused Kate McCann of being involved in her daughter's disappearance. David Bret denies this.
Is this an apology?

Ah, The Sun, that paragon of decency, truth and intelligent comment.

Re: Internet trolls/THE SUN
If it is supposed to be an apology it isn't a very good one just as the Sun isn't a good apology for a newspaper.
Interesting to see it though. Thanks for the share.

Re: Internet trolls/THE SUN
Hmmm ... it looks like it should have been an apology.
It even looks like it started out being an apology.
But then it looks as if someone decided: "The hell we will!" and cut it off in its prime.
Listen up, Scum scribblers - if you got something wrong, at least have the balls to say: "Sorry!"
Or we might get the impression that you are just a bunch of spiteful big girls' blouses ......

Re: Internet trolls/THE SUN
The Sun and other rags also needs to consider that if they continue to pubicly attack those who do not believe the McCanns' abduction story, they may end up having to pay out compensation for their libellous articles when the truth does come out. We have every right to express our opinions and, whatever they threaten us with, no-one can take away our Freedom of Thought

Well if that is so, then he sounds like one of those nutters we hear about.
My own hope is that Healy, McCann and others account for themselves under oath in a court of criminal law.

Havn"t heard that one ProfessorPlum, but David Bret has written several books so I would think he can afford to sue the Sun.

It doesn't look like anything - not an apology, not an article, not a comment, not anything. It has just left me very confused!

No - it's not an apology - it's a standoff!

I am sure that some people who post anti McCann things are sick. I have seen some but that doesn't mean the Sun can tar all of us with the "Sick troll" name simply because we doubt (using evidence available) in Kate & Gerry's story of events.
