Thursday is Northern & Shell day with proprietor Richard Desmond and his editorial director Paul Ashford lined up alongside Daily Express editor Hugh Whittow and the paper's former editor Peter Hill.
Hill will be quizzed on allegations from Daily Express reporters that he was to blame for the slew of false stories about Madeleine McCann. Express Newspapers paid out £550,000 in 2008 to the McCanns for libellous coverage in its four titles, including the Daily Express.

Whatever happens Dirty Des will be out for revenge on the McCanns, just a matter of time now, the public mood has clearly shifted, thanks mainly to sites like this.

From the Guardian... (yet more biased 'on message' lies...)
"Lord Justice Leveson said he would probably call the then editor, Peter Hill, to explain Fagge's assertion that he was "obsessed with the McCann story".
Leveson accused the newspaper of writing "complete piffle" and "tittle-tattle" about Madeleine McCann.
[In that case, Leveson is also 'on message' and not to be trusted...}
From the Guardian...
"One story claimed there was DNA evidence that could show the little girl's body had been stored in the spare tyre well of a hire car,
[Absolutely true]
From the Guardian...
yet the DNA analysis was "inconclusive" and there was no foundation for making that allegation."
[Absolutely false, the initial findings given to the PJ and lead Leicester detective Stuart Pryor pointed overwhelmingly (15 alleles out o 19) toward it being Maddie's DNA, then Gordon Brown pressured the FSS and the eventual report was fudged and watered down; there is an excellent chronology of all this in 'Faked Abduction', 2nd Ed by Steve Marsden - when Stuart Pryor learned that the FSS was nobbled, he was said to be 'furious,' -
"Gonçalo Amaral: "Let's remember it is totally logical to find Madeleine's DNA in the home, but absolutely not in a car rented more than twenty days after her disappearance."]
[But AFAIR there WAS no MM DNA found *anywhere* in the apartment!!! The whole apt had been, as someone said just now, bleach-bombed by a team of VERY motivated Doctors!]
The Guardian again...
"Another story claimed that Kate McCann had given some sort of confession to a local priest in Portugal. The story claimed "the tormented priest insisted he would stand by his vows and take his secrets to the grave".
[Absolutely true. Father Pacheco is on record saying that he was "deceived" by the McCanns and that they had "destroyed my life"... Interesting that an MI5 'safe pair of hands watcher' Anglican Vicar was parachuted in to take over from Father Pacheco...]
Daily Mail:
'I was deceived' says the Portuguese priest who comforted Gerry and Kate McCann

The Portuguese priest who comforted Gerry and Kate McCann in the days after Madeleine vanished last night said he had been deceived, it has emerged.
According to reports, Father Jose Manuel Pacheco claimed he had done nothing wrong and was simply "supporting two lost souls."
But, bizarrely, he also appeared to say he had been the victim of some form of deception.
[It is interesting that very shortly after TM met the Pope, the Vatican web site soon took down all previous links to the official TM Fund Ltd. and the whole TM fairytale - in other words, word filtered through to HH what KM said in confession, and other things too... so, the Church want NOTHING to do with them ever again...
Sounds almost like excommunication to me, as near as...]
Gonçalo Amaral: "The priests also know very well what happened that night.”]

Leveson accused the newspaper of writing "complete piffle" and "tittle-tattle" about Madeleine McCann.
He's got a point.
"I sold Maddie a chocolate ice cream from my van." "She was in my party supplies shop". "I saw her on a yacht with an Arab". "She's been sold as a Little Maid". "She's at a car show in Sweden." "Maddie's in America and I know where she is." "Spotted in Belgium in an ice cream parlour". "She was in a house where we went to buy patio furniture". "She's been raped and killed and hidden in a dam." "She's in an extinct volcano." "Posh Spice bought her off a guy in Barcelona." You want me to go on? Because I can, unfortunately.

Yes but WHO fed them all the red herrings and wild goose chases? Sherrie Dodd (until she could not stomach the Lies any more, and team McCann giving the green light to their extended clan to phone the papers with scoops and inside news, not forgetting Clarence, the dodgiest of the lot, responsible for 100s of bogus articles in the dead tree press.
My point is that not ALL msm articles were piffle and tittle tattle.
I wouldn't trust Leveson as far as I could throw him.
