What would happen?

Ok, I know it's unlikely, but if Scotland yard did find enough evidence to incriminate the McCanns, can they bring charges themselves, or would they have to convince the authorities in Portugal to do it? Anyone know?

Dont think the Portuguese would take much convincing.However,if it was about the fund i suspect they could take action here,if its about the fabricated abduction i think it would have to go to the PT authorities.

I would imagine that the PT authorities would prosecute for any crime committed on PT soil. If the fund is found to be fraudulent then it would the the UK's jurisdiction as the fund was registered in the UK.
