Teen Set To Have Conjoined Twins
An 18-year-old girl is set to become Britain's youngest ever mother to conjoined twins.
Laura Williams is due to give birth by Caesarian section this week.
Her daughters are joined from the breastbone to the top of the navel and have separate hearts.
Despite the risks, the teenager and husband Aled, 28, told Sky News they had decided not to abort their daughters Faith and Hope.
Laura said: "The doctor sat us down and told us that we were having conjoined twins and that I should get rid of them and if I didn't get rid of them they'd probably end up dying on me or I'd end up losing them before 16 weeks.
"They also did say that if we didn't get rid of them there could be a possibility of never having kids again.
"We decided against abortion because our religion is dead against that sort of thing anyway."
Aled added: "At the end of the day we're strong enough to fight it all the way to the end and that's what we're doing."
Laura, from Shrewsbury, is being cared for at Birmingham Women's Hospital but will be transferred to another in London for the procedure, the Mail On Sunday reports.

Re: Teen Set To Have Conjoined Twins
No matter what Doctors say, they are not Gods and don't know how everything is going to pan out, so they should never have said that to this young mother.

Re: Teen Set To Have Conjoined Twins
I see that one of the little babies has died.
How sad for all the family.
I believe it was Hope who died.
I do pray the other baby does survive.

Re: Teen Set To Have Conjoined Twins
r.I.p baby hope. I hope baby faith survives. as for the doctors advising on a terminatin.thhats nothing new with a complicated pregnancy. doctors do that all the time. why I don't know. as you all know I had a very complicated pregnancy on katie. the doctors told me she wouldn't survive. I am so glad I didn't listen to them and terminate her. she. fought against all odds and survived. I hope baby faith does the same
