Pat Brown II
I thought I would start tis thread afreshh seeing as the last one is a bit old and very long. I have just bbeen reading through Pat's blog about her search in the countryside, the area of the phone pings again. She looked at the possibility of a body being buried in several little cemetaries in the area but seem to dismiss the idea and they are locked and 'well monitored'.
Persoanlly I would not bbe so quick to rule the idea out as preists will have keys and access to these places and we know from before that the Mc's managed to get keys to the little church in PDL!

Re: Pat Brown II
I do think now that she is buried somewhere in portugual ..after watching interviews with KM in I'm convinced that the reason she didn't want to leave is because off that...the only reason they left was because they were scared and made a decision to save their skins.

Re: Pat Brown II
I think if your child is missing in a foreign country you would be loathe to come away from that country without knowing what has happened. However, I would have thought at least one of the parents would have taken the twins home to their own house and the other parent stay on in Portugal, then swop roles after a few weeks, and so on, just so that the twins' routines are kept as normal as possible. For both parents and twins to stay there did not make much sense. It is as if the parents were determined to keep one step ahead of what the police were doing and were very interested in trying to control how the investigation ran. I cannot see that this would be good for the twins. I have little doubt really that if Madeleine is anywhere she is still there in Portugal but I do not think this alone was enough reason for both of them to stay. It would be partly that, but it would, as I have said, be primarily because they wanted to stay well ahead of the police investigation. I feel they would have pre-empted much of what the police would be doing and decided the best way to deal with their precarious position was to stay there, to try to gain as much public sympathy as possible, convicing people they were only staying to feel close to Madeleine because she is out there alive somewhere.

Re: Pat Brown II
While looking at Pat Brown's recent tweets, I noticed that she was asked what is happening with getting her Madeleine McCann book reinstated on Amazon. She replied: "The McCanns refused to cease and desist. Planning next move."

Do you know if Isabel Duarte, has handed over those 7500 copies of Goncalo Amaral's book, "The Truth of the Lie"?

Re: Pat Brown II
Healy & McCann seem to be very, very controlling. They appear to have scant regard for the rights of others - especially their own daughter (Madeleine, lest they need reminding). Surely they should welcome any attempts to uncover the truth?

I'm sure there are some very big guns working behind the scenes to make sure the truth is never uncovered.

The Phone pings could be the magic key piece of information the Mccanns seem to mention quite alot, one that interests me is when Gerry arrives back from his USA leg of his world tour,im not sure about is how accurate this info is...?
Thursday July 26th 2007
SUMMARY (approx)
Gerry returns from Washington
Kate leaves PdL around 3.15pm and arrives at the airport just before 4.50pm
Gerry's arrives about 4.40pm
Kate's phone doesn't ping until 6.24pm back in PdL (hour and quarter approx from Faro Airport)
Gerry overshoots PdL to Vila do Bispo (7 miles west of PdL at 7.05pm (approx 90 min drive from Faro Airport and 21 minute drive from PdL)
Returns back to Budens at 7.10pm (9 minute drive )
Arrives back in PdL at 7.50 approx (14 minute drive from Budens but took 40 mins)
25 minutes between Budens and PdL unaccounted for.

Re: Pat Brown II
What could be so important to make Gerry return from the USA not to his wife and children but go directly out to the west of PDL and paddle about a while? Something most urgent???? Must have been something that could not wait!!!

It says "Kate leaves PdL around 3.15pm and arrives at the airport just before 4.50pm" so Gerry was bought back by her?

Yes but it does not mention Gerry's phone pinging when he's back in PDL with Kate - it says Gerry overshoots which leads me to think he drove straight to Bispo. If he went back to PLD with Kate then he did not spend very long there before shooting off - long enough to pick somethings up before he left on his mission perhaps?
