Member of Al Qaeda Arrested in Valencia

The man was the administrator of webpage with with Jihadist content
Civil Guard agents have today arrested a man in Valencia with Saudi nationality but who was born in Amman, Jordan, named with the initials M.H.A., who is a member of Al Qaeda and who has been distributing audiovisual items to encourage the carrying out of terrorist acts. He has been described as Al Qaeda’s librarian.
The Guardia Civil say that they have confirmed his membership of Al Qaeda over the internet, and say that he was the administrator of a web page with Jihadist content which encouraged Islamic terrorism.
A search of a property in Calle Juan XXIII in Valencia, where the arrested man was thought to be living, has been carried out. More than 12 agents took part in the arrest at about 9,30am this morning.
The case, which opened in February 2011, is being controlled by Instruction Court Five in the National Court.
The arrest comes just a few days after a young man killed seven people in France, inspired by Al Qaeda, and an alert for ‘lone wolves’ was issued in western countries.
