ARROGANCE is piled on incompetence as Portuguese police snub pleas to reopen the Madeleine McCann inquiry.

They say they will act only on “credible and relevant” new facts.

Scotland Yard officers have established no fewer than 195 fresh lines of inquiry and say Madeleine may still be alive.

Yet Portuguese detectives insultingly dismiss their work and wreck the hopes of Kate and Gerry McCann, who had been “hugely encouraged” by the Yard’s painstaking investigation.

When 195 new leads are discovered, lack of evidence seems an unlikely reason for this shameful decision.

Isn’t it more likely that Portugal is deeply embarrassed by the unprofessional way it bungled the search for Madeleine when she vanished five years ago?

In their eagerness to blame Kate and Gerry, local cops missed crucial clues. Now, despite so much important new information, they ignore what might be a genuine chance of finding Madeleine alive or discovering the truth.

Have they no children themselves? And have they no consciences?

A thousand killers, rapists and thugs out on licence are on the run having ignored prison recall orders.

Meanwhile, thanks to a Labour promise, taxpayers face a £2million bill to keep African war criminal Charles Taylor in a British jail.

So we can’t keep our own monsters behind bars, but we’re happy to pay a fortune to cage a foreign tyrant.

You know what? If i was the AG i would call a press conference, Sky etc would be sure to be front row.

Then i would state why the case was archived, that the Mccanns and friends would not co operate.

Then i would state that if they came back to Portugal, did the reconstruction and answered the questions Kate refused to, then they would re open the case, looking at ALL options.

The public would see that the PJ did their best with the lack of co operation of the Mccanns and friends,
that it was interference from the start that halted the case.

Although we know these things, a lot of people only read what is printed in the Sun and Mail.

So what EXACTLY are Scotland Yard 'doing' about all these 'leads' they've discovered?
I hope one on them isn't about Grabbit and Leggit (Dave Edgar and Arthur Cowley) dressing up as orange pickers to spy on people!
That 'lead' would soon run out of juice!

Just take a look at the comments. I have tried several times today to post on there but zilch.
'Snuffy' on the other hand was allowed to post that the P.J. were the kidnappers!!! That has been taken down now after I complained that that was outrageos. But it shows what we're up against.
The WHOLE MURDOCH MACHINE. And we always have been.
But................tick tock..tick tock.... BOOM. I have faith left.

Until Scotland Yard investigate the parents and eliminate them from the investigation, they or the media can throw whatever they want at the Portuguese, it only strengthens the scepticism of those who question their motives. If the Yard wish to appear as dumbed down as the succession of private investigators who have been involved in this affair since 2007 and make themselves a laughingstock in the rest of the world, then they are doing a sterling job. Such a shame to see the reputation of what was once popularly perceived throughout the world to be the elite police force being trashed by its own participation in frustrating the proper investigation of a crime involving a child of less than 4 years of age. It's a shocking indictment of the state of British society that the establishment appears able to decide with impunity that a crime can only be investigated if certain people are excluded from investigation. The good thing to come out of the Scotland Yard review is that they have spent millions of pounds sifting through the files and found nothing, because it strengthens the conclusions of the Portuguese investigation that the 'abduction' was staged. Bit late coming up with 195 leads which need following up, but there's nothing stopping the Yard from spending a few millions more and doing it themselves. I hope the Portuguese stick to their guns and let the Yard carry on, because beyond the parents and their accomplices, there's absolutely nothing for them to find.

It's quite obvious that redwood has been working WITH the Mccanns.....he wasn't in the slightest Impartial and went In there with one outlook and one only......the abduction theory... We should off guessed when Kate McCann added extra pages to the paperback a few months ago that the outcome was to be abduction as the new efit is probably in the new book too.


Planned and preplanned everything ....they knew that the PJ would not reopen the case unless they did a recon but next week they will be prob on sky news with redwood sniveling and lying that it was because the PJ don't want to ruin the upcoming tourist influx in pdl by saying their was an abduction....blah blah blah.....

Maybe the Portugese are awaiting a formal request from the Mcs so they can say certainly, the reconstruction will take place on ...........

... is for the Brits not to prejudge the issue and declare it an abduction before they start, and for the Portuguese not to prejudge the issue and declare it a death in the flat... I think Amaral is up for 'all options on the table', but SY are not... or not at the moment... but if the AG will only agree to that course... then maybe they might be persuaded! The ball then comes back to the British court and its the Brits who are being unreasonable if they don't agree... Then everyone goes back to square one ... fully co-operating... both police forces together working on the 're-opened' case... What is wrong with that! I still think the AG will want some new facts though... rather than more theories... and who can blame him, with the cost of it all.

That theory wouldn't be reported in the Brit press though Comprenda!
