mossman wrote:Actually Gerry made one strange comment. I can't remember the exact wording but it was about how they are used to being a family of four. He said something along the lines of where there used to be five in the house there is now four most of the time. You can read too much into anything of course but it was one thing that struck me as very odd as soon as he said it.
Also... the twins say (this from Kate) that they will continue the search for Maddie when they get older.

Re: McCanns on Loraine in the morning
All lovey dovey questions from LK. Replies from the gruesome twosome well rehearsed. LK adding they had been 'completely cleared.' The gruesome twosome 'so grateful the UK police are searching' etc etc etc
They all 3 of them looked very tired, which doesn't mean much really... All in all, exactly what I expected.
Didn't see the bewk though???

Re: McCanns on Loraine in the morning
Maybe Isabel Duarte parcelled 'em up to Amaral by mistake?!
She certainly seems confused enough.

Sounds like they're not expecting her back any time soon then!

I'm not a chav, nor am I feckless but I will watch the programme.
I never watch early morning television, don't usually switch on my television until 12.15 but will do tomorrow.
Sorry snowflake,
Well if Kate blatantly said on live TV she hopes the case is reopened then they are not as confident as l thought they'd be.
Game on again.

That is a very good point, forgot completely about the book while I was watching. It should have been a please buy my book intereview ?
I noticed also LK said in the intro that they wrote a letter and within 24 hours Cameron had ordered the review. I don't know about the UK government but our government would be still opening the envelope 24 hours later. Very swfit action if that is true and leads me further down the path that the review was in the pipeline and the letter written because of that.

Re: McCanns on Loraine in the morning
I agree, the review couldn't have happened that quickly.
IMO they knew it was coming, therefore chose to claim responsibility for it.
Interesting that they were looking tired and nervous - you'd think that they'd be very relaxed with their best mate Kelly.

Meh, after only 24 hours Royal Mail would still be trying to find the feckin' envelope. No, this has been on the cards for a long time. The Macs got to know about it, so quick - write a letter, and make everybody think that they instigated it themselves. Same with re-opening the case in Portugal. I think that's up next. With Helen Monteiro - a specialist in finding dead bodies - at the helm. Interesting times all round.
Did Mister Gerry not also say at one point, "we have our own children to think about now." Poor Maddie.

Did Mister Gerry not also say at one point, "we have our own children to think about now." Poor Maddie.
Good morning Iris
Gerry made a speech regarding the children, shortly after he and his wife arrived back from their enforced holiday in PDL, in September 2007. His exact words were "We have the twins to think about now we are a family" I thought it was rather a strange thing to say, because if his words were written instead of spoken and a comma was put after the now, it would still mean they were now a family. In which case he was implying that they weren't a family when Madeleine was around.
Since then he has made a point of saying we are a family, but we're not a complete family. He must have realised that he made a gaffe, back in September 2007.
By the way Iris, I gave you one of these , when you said Royal Mail would still be looking for the envelope. The last 25 yrs. of my working life, were spent as a Royal Mail employee. I'll let you off this time, but if you say it again, I'll make you write "I love Clarence Mitchell" 500 times in bold capital letters.

Re: McCanns on Loraine in the morning
I went straight into town after the school run this morning so wasn't even tempted to flick Lorraine on for a peep. Doesn't sound like I missed much.
Love kathybelle's threatened punishment. I for one will never say anything bad about Royal Mail, just in case I get the same.

Re: McCanns on Loraine in the morning
Just watched this - did anyone else notice (around 8.45 real time on the recorded prog) where Gerry is talking about the MET - he stumbles badly trying to hold back from saying the word - POWER??
'......it does feel now finally that someone in (chokes).... the authorities--(chokes)--British authorities are actually trying to find Madeleine......'
Once he finishes speaking he does then take a big gulp then Kate steps in and stumbles over pettitioned.

Re: McCanns on Loraine in the morning
It's certainly not mourning sickness, carlyJusticeforallkids wrote:mossman wrote:mumbles wrote:Well I skipped breakfast so that I could watch this... and I have to say that neither of them looked their usual confident selves.
They both looked very tired, and Gerry very subdued... with Kate clinging onto his hand for dear life!
Kate ended by saying that she hopes the case will be reopened in Portugal.
I too braved the elements and would agree, I thought Kate in particular looked like she was going to be sick at any minute. She did indeed say she hopes it will be re-opened, but added the words in due course to the end of the sentance. No sense of urgency or big appeal. Whatever happened to lets strike while the iron is hot. Come on SY you have new leads, lets get this case re-opened now.
Otherwise as was to be expected. Madeleine is missing, so lets talk about us.
ermmm kate looking sick couldnt be morning sickness could it??????
