AN alleged drink driver was tracked down by police sniffer dogs in Melbourne's west last night.

Police were called to Emily St in St Albans at 11pm after a hit and run crash between two cars.

A red Subaru Liberty sedan had crashed into a black BMW sedan.

The Subaru driver had fled the scene without leaving his details.

Police used sniffer dogs to track him to his home in Kings Park.

The 29-year-old man was arrested and taken to Keilor Downs police station where he gave a blood alcohol reading of .073.

He has been charged with a range of drink driving and traffic offences.

Why did UK spend thousands sending Eddie (Cadaver dog) to the US to train on human bodies then to dismiss his evidence? Answers on a postcard addressed to Rothley or Sun Newspaper.
