"Madeleine" spotted in Railway Station(s)
Had to go up to Stirling yesterday for work, and spotted this poster at Ayr, Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling railway stations -
I am presuming that the Fund paid for it. I studied it very carefully between changing trains. It's not a Transword poster, or from any bookshop. It is purely an advertisement for the book and only mentions www.findmadeleine.com. The QR code at the bottom takes you to the Find Madeleine website.
I thought it was interesting that it is not advertising for people to ring in with information. The helplines are not mentioned on it anywhere. It is purely an advertisement to sell the book. And of course, only the royalties are going to Madeleine's fund.

I haven't seen those anywhere. I wonder if they think there could be more sympathy in the central Scotland area because Gerry comes from Glasgow?
Re: "Madeleine" spotted in Railway Station(s)
I find it telling that one of only 4 reviews they mention is "This harrowing account makes me rue the day l doubted them" from the Daily Mail.
Why would you want that particular comment up there? it's a message for the doubters, of which they clearly have more of than they care to admit.....

This is the most believable sighting that there has been of Madeleine so far!

The poster acknowledges the doubts people have expressed and seeks to sell books by provoking guilt about those doubts.
Re: "Madeleine" spotted in Railway Station(s)
John McCann lives in Scotland I wonder if he arranged this. I magnified the picture , couldn't read the comments properly but noticed the "click here
to see Madeleiene how she would look now" They really are quite despicable and on findmadeleine they are still trying to sell holiday packs for Holiday
makers to post the photo of Madeleine whereever they can. I also notice the Large and Extra Large T shirts are no longer in stock, either they weren't
selling well or the extra material needed would reduce their profit.

Don't forget that Philomena is also north of the border and I strongly suspect that she is responsible for the shortage of large and extra large shirts!! Possibly all the pies too.
Sorry, I do usually manage not to comment on anyone's appearance but that was too hard to resist.

That poster is also in WHSmith's in East Midlands Airport. Our daughter saw it when she flew out of there on the 8th of this month to visit us.

Don't forget Eileen and Jackie, both of whom live in Glasgow, I believe.
Re: "Madeleine" spotted in Railway Station(s)
I presume they are Gerry's sisters? anyway, since this poster is in amy other places I presume it is another concerted effort by the Mccanns to search for Madeleine......what response do they hope to get in Britain when Madeleine was abducted in Portugal 5 years ago?. It's probably an excuse to get the Book publicised.

Jackie is Gerry's sister and Eileen is his mother.

Still Missing. Still Missed.
"Extremely honest and candid" - the Sun.
"This haunting account makes me rue the day I doubted them" - Daily Mail.
"A must-read because someone out there knows something" - The Sunday Express
"Mrs McCann writes honestly about her torment" - The Sunday Telegraph
See what Madeleine may look like now
www.findmadeleine.com
Out now in paperback, ebook and audio
That is all of the text. Nothing, absolutely nothing, else, not even in tiny letters.

Re: "Madeleine" spotted in Railway Station(s)
They're not even promoting their so-called search for Madeleine anymore, it's all about selling the book. Perhaps the next effort by the author will be a guide on how to turn your child into a multi-million pound industry. They should participate in The apprentice - it's such a great marketing ploy.

Re: "Madeleine" spotted in Railway Station(s)
I have a feeling the SY Review has cramped their style big time
Lets face it, prior to the review being started, they could sit on sofas and bleat the poor us, no police force anywhere in the world saga, they could rake in as much money as there was poor gullible people left in the world to fund their pretendy search by pretendy investigators. Enter SY and that is all gone. They cannot beg for any more money for the search, SY are on the case.
So all they can do now is sit and wait. Of course, the option is always there to start a new campaign, one which would get the PJ to re-open the investigation. They could market it on the big screens at the Olympic Games, the European Championships, lots of things happening this Summer. Real good marketing ploys Gerry. Only downside to this is there would be no financial gain, a return visit to Portugal would be necessary and, perish the thought, Kate might have to answer questions or even become involved in a reconstruction. So that is no good either.
Quiet times ahead for the pair. They might even have time for a family holiday or two.

Notice too the choice of picture, a 3 year old!
Why would you promote a picture as such, if
your child was nearly 9?
