You help keep the system going and your taxes help pay benefit to bona fide claimants.
I have read in guardian that many working class taxpayers are living only one bill away from going into the red,so i thought a thank you was in order to all those hard working taxpayers without whose the system would collapse.
Many chose hard graft and don't claim benefits.

I have 'grafted' all my life and,i think,done reasonably well.I do not mind at all getting my hands dirty and paying taxes that go to good causes such as those who are dependant on the wellfare state.I get bloody annoyed though at the scroungers who can't be bothered to earn a crust when they are perfectly able to do so.

I also get annoyed at some who go 'on the sick' following mental 'breakdown' and then stay 'on the sick' for ever.Not that mental health issues are not real,but they are curable (or manageable) in a relatively short space of time for most.

I have a couple of chaps in my club who are 'retired' school teachers who have been claiming benefits from their early forties and are now well into their fifties and have no intention of working again.They take money from those who are actually physically unable to work or have real difficulties in doing so.
