Alistair Campbell on BBC 'This Week' - "There is not a shred of evidence to prove that......"
He was using this same line (repeatedly) to defend the politicians who were colluding with the bankers to defraud the British Public.
Not disimilar to the same tactic he used with the Mccans!
There is now a lot of evidence to show the use of this line to cover up facts...

I think all lawyers must use this phrase at least once in any case or lose their license to practice law!
There was not a shred of evidence that Madeleine had come to any harm, nor that Casey Anthony had anything to do with her daughter's death etc however to most of us it looked like there was a LOT of evidence.
Perhaps they feel if they say that often enough people will believe it, and stop believing their own ears, eyes and experience.

Equally, there is not a shred of evidence to prove that Madeleine was abducted. Why can it not work bothy ways ?
