Carole Malone - The People - 15 July 2012
Spotted this little snippet in the paper version, can't seem to find it on-line:
Kate McCann says that when her two children, Sean and Amelie see a sticker of Madeleine they say: ‘Mummy they’re looking for Madeleine’.
‘It really gives me strength’ says Kate.
Really? It would give me nightmares knowing my two little mites were forever worrying about a sister who may never come home!
Well said Carole!

Soon after Madeleine disappeared, Kate McCann was asked how the twins were coping. She said they were OK because they had never spent much time with Madeleine.

I found that quite shocking at the time, that 2 year olds had never spent much time with their older sister. It's even more shocking that as they get older, they are being encouraged to make that sister a bigger part of their lives than she ever was when she lived with them.
Re: Carole Malone - The People - 15 July 2012
I dont but much worth in that statement, just look at the source, now if it came from the twins then I would be concerned.

I remember well too. Kate said the twins never really had much to do with Madeleine. I doubt the twins even knew who Madeleine was at that stage of the game.

They were two years and three months old when Madeleine disappeared and they had never spent much time with her. How could they remember Madeleine? She's a mythical character their parents are making into a real person for them.
Re: Carole Malone - The People - 15 July 2012
Kate has been disgracefully using the Twins who probably at just over 2 yrs of age would soon have fading memories of Madeleine.
Kate wrapped Xmas presents for Madeleine, set a place for her at table and even in a painting lesson with the twins in the Channel 4 Docu wrote
Madeleine and asked the twins what the word was. That docu was to mark the first anniversary of Madeleiens disappearance, over one year later....
what would the twins remember.????

Hi Bill, whilst I agree with you about the source, I just found it refreshing that someone picked up on the nonsense she is prone to spout.

Sorry but I just can't warm to Carole Malone at all, after her appalling remarks about the Philpott children. She is a truly horrible woman, even if she does have a point about kate's twins.

I've just had a look back at what she said about the children and the family. Some people are good at sitting in judgement about big families on benefits, not realising that what they say impacts on the children, who are not responsible for their parents actions.

Re: Carole Malone - The People - 15 July 2012
Article from a few days ago, but Carole Malone seems to still be offering an opposing viewpoint to most of the tabloid opinion columnists - 'Sunday Mirror', 28.7.2013:
"Gerry McCann says he and his wife Kate try to keep the lives of their twins, eight-year-old Amelie and Sean, 'as normal as possible'.
Which seems at odds with his decision last week to do a big 'exclusive' interview with a tabloid newspaper.
Even more odd that Gerry, a leading light in the Hacked Off campaign, should choose to talk to papers in this particular branch of the media considering his claims that his family have been hounded and vilified by them.
Even so he and his wife Kate never seem to miss an opportunity to court publicity when they need to raise money. ...
Is it not hypocrisy to ask people, through those newspapers, to sponsor him and give money?"

Re: Carole Malone - The People - 15 July 2012
I'm not familiar with Carole Malone; do her recent remarks differ from anything else she may have written?
I'm not quite sure if she is actually questioning Gerry McCann's motives or if she annoyed because "her" newspaper didn't get the "exclusive".

Carole Malone has always been consistent with her views of the mccanns, that is always critical of their behaviour, but i think she still talks of abduction.

Thanks Lioned for your response. Pity she hasn't connected the "dots" between the McCanns' behaviour and the dog evidence resulting in "no abduction".

I do not know who this is, but we would not know if she had connected the dots or not. A journalist would not be able to say a non-abduction view in a regular newspaper.
