Police have launched a search for two sisters that have gone missing from their home in Manchester.
Liana Boyd, 11, and eight-year-old Teigan Boyd were last seen at around 8pm on Sunday, when they went out to play in Whitworth Park, close to their home.
Manchester Police has said this case is currently their "highest priority".
The sisters are white with brown hair.
Liana, who is 5ft 2in tall, was last wearing a brown cardigan, black top and black leggings. While Teigan was last wearing denim shorts and a green top.
Police say the girls have never gone missing before.
Chief Superintendent Rob Potts, from Greater Manchester Police's South Manchester Division, said: "Clearly, the family is fraught with worry that these girls have spent the night away from home.
"We have launched a police investigation where we are pulling out all the stops to find them safe and well."
He appealed for anyone who thought they might have seen the girls to get in touch.
"We are in the early, critical stages of our inquiries and we would urge anyone with information to call us as soon as possible," Chief Supt Potts said.
"Whitworth Park is surrounded by busy roads and last night's weather would have meant that the park was busy."
"We need anyone who may have seen the girls to call us as this would be vital to our inquiries."
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Whitworth Park is lovely. I took my children there quite often when we lived in Manchester. However, the area around the park, although it has a lot of nice looking and expensive houses, it is a well known area for drugs and prostitution.

Re: Two sisters missing in Manchester
That's a relief - perhaps they went for a sleepover with friends and didn't think to tell anyone.

Ah, good news, Anna.
I hope we get to find out where the girls were and who they were with.

Re: Two sisters missing in Manchester
One day the police came knocking on my door as an 11-year-old who lived in my road had been missing overnight. His mother had told them that he used to play wth my son which was a bit worrying as the latter was about 20 at the time and wasn't known as the U K's answer to Michael Jackson!
Why the mother hadn't called earlier if she thought her son might be with me I don't know. I never heard any more so the boy must have turned up safe.
