Re: The Blacksmith Bureau-A worthy cause
I have to agree with you, Penny. Only people who have not read the files or choose to ignore the blood and cadaver dog alerts etc are of the opinion that Madeleine was abducted. My parents fall into this category, and I take what they say with a pinch of salt. If people won't read up on all the facts and read just what is printed in the papers, how can they possibly make an informed comment. My father said last week, "that girl that went missing in Portugal doesn't get mentioned now does she. Thats another one that has just faded away"! I said, you do know about Scotland Yard spending millions on reviewing this case, don't you? His reply, "Oh yes, I think I remember reading something about that a while ago, is it still ongoing then"? And he claims the parents have nothing whatsoever to do with her disappearance! I want to scream sometimes, I really do!

The mccanns do not do "magnanimous" never have and never will.CR will let it take as long as it takes, why shouldn't they, thats what they do.
mccanns are quite capable of doing vindictive though, that is more their make up.Tony will go to prison if he doesn't conform and the press will spin it in the mccanns favour, this evil internet troll blah blah blah.

I share your frustration, wjk xx
The McCann spin machine has given the impression that most people believe and trust them. However, it has been my experience that very few do. Although I agree, there are those that accept the whole seedy McCann ball of wax, hook line and sinker.

i think it is all split up in to categories
us who have the facts..
those who sit on the fence
the ones who dont think a parent could cover something up so terrible
those who think if there was evidence they would have been charged
those who think there is something very odd about the mccs
those who think the mccs are involved in something but dont know what
those [troll] who act as pro but dont really give a damn
the morrill to all this is apart from us and trolls....until a time comes when our media start and give a fair account of what is going on [i'm sure they know]
cover with fair unbiased views on the forthcoming libel trials .[then let the public decide the jury] ....
public/doubters etc will be then able for themselves to decide what they believe in ..what happened to maddie....as it is now it is like a trial with only a defence......there has to be a prosecution to get to the truth....

Re: The Blacksmith Bureau-A worthy cause
I think Madeleine died in 5a, but unless something profound happens , like the McCanns admitting Madeleine was dead when Gerry checked at 9pm and they hid her body, this case will be talked about for years on forums like ours because it is such a mystery. However, if , as I suspect, the PJ decides enough is enough and closes the case when the review is over, the McCanns lose any interest for me and I suspect many here and other forums.

It was Thursday wasn't it? Mrs Fenn heard Madeleine crying on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning Madeleine supposedly asked Kate why she didn't come when she was crying,.This is why it is so inconceivable that any Parent would go out that night. If I am wrong would someone set the record straight?.....Ta.The End Is Nigh wrote:Sorry - suffering from "lost context due to new page" syndrome.

Hi Panda,
Mrs Fenn overheard the crying on the 1st, and Maddie allegedly disappeared on the 3rd. I think the McCanns tried to make it appear Maddie was crying on 2nd by claiming she asked them on the morning of the 3rd... why they didn't come "last night" when Sean and her were crying. Much deception afoot there methinks!

Interesting,, thanks pennylane I always thought it was the Thursday because they only had one more day and would have left Portugal on the Saturday.. Iv'e got one of those any week Calendars in my Address book and if May 1st is Tuesday , the 3rd is Thursday .....so you are right. All we have to establish is what night Mrs Fenn heard the crying.

Your welcome. I'm not very good with remembering dates, but this one is permanently imbedded in my mind. Mrs Fenn said she overheard what she believed to be one child crying, Maddie; as the twins would have sounded younger in her opinion, and she heard her on Tuesday, 1st May.

Many thanks wjk It's a jolly good idea to go direct to the source from time to time. Besides, it's precisely statements like that, and other important details, that the infamous pair have done their level best to bury beneath an avalanche of spin.

Pennylane, when you see the McCanns on T.V. deliberately lying don't you wonder why the PJ aallow them to get away with it.? From day one the McCann's orchestrated everything and I am reminded of the first forum I joined,Anorak. I really enjoyed being a Member, lots of topics to discuss, and if it wasn't for some newly promoted Moderator hounding me all the time for not quoting the source I wouldn't have left. as it happened ., several others left because of her. Anyway, one of the Members has a Sister who is married to a Portugese guy and he told us his brother-in-law told him the Portugese Police are not the brightest and were ill equiped to handle such a high profile case.......who knows.

Re: The Blacksmith Bureau-A worthy cause
Pennylane - Whatever the gruesome twosome's PR machine spins henceforth about Mr Bennett or Dr Amaral, I suspect it will only serve the purpose of emphasizing the doubt and skepticism that exists regarding the McCanns dodgy version of events. These are troubling times for members of the Establishment who use money and clout to bully people into suppression. The people vs the Establishment is picking up momentum, and I don't think the public are as gullible or innocent as they once were.
Very true Pennylane and lets not forget that one of the people who interfered in this case has been mentioned numerous times on the net as being of the same 'persuasion' as Jimmy Savile! Are the Police going to do as they have promised and root out those people including those in power who are abusing children. Will be interesting to see if they get those mentioned as being on the Op Ore list as well. the Mccanns may find one of their protectors going the same way as other people who have got involved with them has gone like Halligen ended up in jail. I would think this must be a very worrying time for them. Many links are being established regarding their associates as has been mentioned on twitter, and to who some of those links have led to has been most interesting. All of which the Police will be aware of by now I presume.

Morning Panda,
Some mods on the Maddie blogs back then, were out of control and up to no good. I've certainly seen quite a few in the past that I didn't trust and couldn't believe what they got away with.
I think high profile cases are a nightmare for all police, and the suspects get lawyered up with the best and most devious lawyers on earth. Even the Barrymore case had key evidence that got whoosh-clucked. When money is on the table.... justice often takes a back seat it seems.

Morning Pennylane,
I think the Police having the British Ambassador visiting the McCanns and the McCanns having their own PR giving daily bulletins set the stage for this case and the PJ lost all control.

Morning cherry, excellent post!
I think the gruesome twosome will be panicked as their protectors, one by one, go down the pan. They spent big bucks building their fort and re-writing history, and have failed miserably as their dodgy past will not go away. The Gaspar statements are right back on top again, not that they ever left. I long for the day when Mitchell's name get's dragged into the middle of things!!! Jim Gamble is another figure who makes the hairs on my neck stand on end. Operation Ore will not go away. Interesting times ahead as you say.

I agree Panda, and the Home Office assured things remained stagnant by their non-cooperation with the PJ's basic McCann background checks, and the lengthy time it took them to respond.... only to deny their requests.
