Hugh Grant will donate his settlement to the hacked off campaign

So that will pay for having his picture projected on the houses of Parliament for about a year I take it.

Whilst he's at it, perhaps he could persuade Gerry to donate some too? We already know the money isn't needed to search for Madeleine, because they haven't. Scotland Yard hasnt, the detectives haven't . Having his mug projected next to Hugh Grant's? Perhaps he can become a matinee idol too.

I've never rated Grant, lightweight, droopy eyes, floppy hair, fake , fake 'typical Englishman'. Hardly a great actor. Give me Sean Penn any day. USA lapped it up. Must say the competition isn't strong these days.
Hugh Grant will be trading on his fake charm for the rest of his life I expect.

He pressed on with his 'claim' purely to reinvent what was a failing career anyway. (IMO)

I remember him being interviewed when he said he wouldn't accept a fee because that would mean he couldn't criticise freely......give him credit for that at least. That's his Persona the lightweight Actor, he could never play the Part of a Villain Apart from his dallying in a Car with the American woman, there has never been any Scandal, he is now a Dad and ensuring Mother and Son are well looked after. I like him, as you can tell.

Errrm, not generally known, but the lady in question was probably of the male gender. Although Grant may not have known that when he paid his fee.

Well said.
I think that applies to some of the others too.

A good actor can play a rich variety of roles. Hugh Grant only plays himself in whatever film he's in.

I'll take Benedict Cumberbatch any day.
I can't promise I'll bring him back though ......

When ever I see Grant now I just think of the arrest in LA with the "Hooker" tarnished forever imo....Grant is finished and this Leveson Inquiry has helped him back into the public eye for now, but lets face it he is well over the hill....

Tigger, I don't think there's any doubt that Hugh Grant's embarrassing encounter involved a woman, not a man.

I agree it's hard to tell the difference at times!

As has been said above he is pretty pointless as an actor as he can't act !
