No mate, a disaster is when you make a lovely lasagne and you get it out of the oven and drop it on the floor.

I find his words a bit premeditated.

Hmm...with my lasagne it's a disaster if it doesn't get dropped on the floor....we have to eat it Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine case - Page 7 613255

"One of the Mark Warner reps came in and said: 'We've got a missing girl'.
We all just stopped what we were doing and all just left with them.
We have been looking in the bins, we've been looking on the pathways.
The whole village was hands on, all the locals, all the holidaymakers came out, all the bar people - everybody just came out to help."

James Wright, bar owner in Praia da Luz, to BBC News, 05.05.2007

Thats the million euro question Paula. Any other parents would have been running around PDL frantically all night and all the next days and weeks. Normal parents would never stop searching

On March 29, Anonymous said...How could the McCanns and Tapas 7 cheat on so many people.
The parents themselves were not searching for her. They knew it was not necessary. And now the Algarvian population are being criticised. They did everything they could do, to find her, they prayed with and for the parents, they applauded the couple. The only thing they did that was useful was to pray for Maddie who was alredy dead and they did not know it yet.
Somewhere I read a comment of Moita Flores, Professor in forense something. He was not in Portugal at that moment, he saw the news on BBC and he said: _"How can journalists believe in such an abduction, in that apartment?"
He knew it could not be true.
The McCanns believe that they can again manipulate the Portugueses.
They even believe they can manipulate the British people.
They are again making themselves ridiculous.I wonder how is the attitude of Gerry's colleagues at the hospital right now.
I don't believe they love Gerry in pieces

The thing that does it for me is that they could sit down and work out that timeline in Madeleines book, to give to the police when they arrived at 10pm. How did they already know that somebody wasn't on their way back with Madeleine, having found her wandering around? That and the phone calls to the UK about the shutters, open door etc. cannot be for any other reason than they knew what had really happened to Madeleine, and it wasn't an abduction, of that I am certain.

I've been wondering lately how on earth the McCann lovers can criticise the locals in Portugal for ripping up Maddie's posters....Did they ever criticise the McCanns for ripping up Maddie's bedtime book?

Hello, Joana and Astro! Sorry, this might be off-topic but I found it so very interesting. Maybe you are alredy in the knowledge of this, maybe you have read this long article :

"When Ben Needham disappeared from a greek farm house in 1991, his close knit family were almost torn apart" - by Melanie McFadyean

www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2009/mar/29/missing-child-ben-needham

It mentions the McCanns and the Maddie case, focuses on how the british authorities adressed(or not) both cases, and a lot more of interesting paralels.
I think it makes a very interesting reading and left me with the feeling that "some animals are indeed more equal than others" under the eyes of the press and the establishment.

What a silly question Paula!

We now know they were ripping out pages of Maddie's book to plan their movements.....we also know they were calling the press to get them out there....

They were too busy to look for their child!

But anyways....you know I think they know exactly where she is!

I think this says it all really. They don't think they have done anything wrong!

"Early morning run"They should have saved their energy..and used it to search for poor little Madeleine.

Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

‘Esta hipótese - rapto - foi exaustivamente investigada, tendo sido exauridas todas as informações que conduziam nesse e noutros sentidos. Nunca foi pedido qualquer resgate, nem se vislumbraram quaisquer indicações suficientemente consistentes da concretização desse suposto rapto.’

‘This hypothesis – abduction – was exhaustively investigated, with all information that led into that and into other directions being exhausted. No ransom was ever demanded, nor was a glimpse ever caught of any sufficiently consistent indications of the concretion of that supposed abduction.’

Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

"The police don't want a murder in Portugal and all the publicity about them not having paedophile laws here, so they're blaming us."

She added: "The Portuguese police are running out of budget for this investigation and want it to end."

Mr McCann, who until now has steadfastly refused to criticise the police, despairingly told a friend: "We are being absolutely stitched up."

Dont want a murder??

Thats suspicious coming from Kates mouth. Why would it be a murder? I thought she thought it was an abduction.

Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

«“We’re looking at a clear process of whitewashing of the situation”, former coordinator of the PJ’s investigations Gonçalo Amaral told ‘Público’ yesterday, further mentioning that “the theatre play” that was carried out in Praia da Luz “is not even complete, because one of the main characters is missing, doctor David Payne”.

The former senior PJ officer understands that David Payne should have been summoned by the McCanns, given the fact that it was him who, right after the child’s disappearance was communicated, on the 3rd of May 2007, prevented other persons, namely an employee of the English Social Services (who happened to be in the area) from adopting measures. “That’s right. The doctor who used to bathe the children is missing, the doctor whom an English couple complained about, in England, on the 16th of May, over something that happened with an under age daughter of theirs, in Mallorca, in 2005”, Gonçalo Amaral added.»

Amazing !!!

Just goes to show you that they are crazy if they think we all believe she was abducted! You do not say this about your child if she's alive!

Yes, gerry and Kate: she was SO life-enriching that you dumped her in a creche every chance you got.
