Hi cass, I don't think so, he successfully sued the U. K. Press and was accused by three of the Tapas of being seen outside 5a with other people . He also acted as Translator for the Portugese Police. I think SY have found nothing remotely worth t he PH re-opening the case....who told the Press ? Why would the SY Police say there is a standoff with the Portugese Police? Very undiplomatic , even the retiring DCI has had his say. All designed to hide the fact they have found no evidence of Portugese incompetance .......don't forget , the McCanns had two months to appeal against the shelving of the case , but didn't.

According to the article, Martin Brunt is reporting from PDL; does anyone know if he was in PDL or the U.K. when he tweeted "murder" a few days ago? Just wonder why he is in PDL now......looking for an exclusive maybe.

Morning interested, I posted his latest news and to be honest I don't know why he is there . The Portugese must be furious with SY for leaking all this info to the Press which has probably ruined any prospect of re-opening the case.

mossman /NBY Wasn't this Michaela the girlfriend of the Russian guy who had his computer taken away for inspection ? His car was also burned with a message in Portugese, "tell the truth." SY are obviously clutching at straws because I am sure the Portugese would have checked this out at the time, and the Cleaners.

Michaela was Robert Murat's girl friend and they have since married.
