I remember Mrs Fenn being hounded by the Press when she was I think in a Car Park. , I tbink she was in her 70's and wonder if she did report the crying to the OC , I read somewhere that the McCanns were told , that's probably why they were not very friendly towards her when she called over the balcony asking if they wanted help.

Morning fred, the more you wonder at the McCanns remaining on the Balcony while Oldfield was supposedly phoning the Police , wouldn't you think they would be running around every street in PDL searching for their daughter.!!! Also, the conversation was timed by Mrs Fenn at 10.20 after the BBC News which she always watched. Madeleine was discovered missing at 10pm , yet the call to the PJ was logged in at 10.42pm , so why did Oldfield not phone earlier? What were they all doing on the balcony anyway???

Re: Madeleiene Suspects "Not Fully Investigated"
Interestingly, Mrs Fenn says in her police statement that she spoke to Gerry (not Kate) and he told her that a little girl had been abducted.
Kate in her novel describes talking to Mrs Fenn and being upset that the latter showed as much interest as if a tin of beans had fallen off a shelf.
Now, as Kate has shown repeatedly that she wouldn't know the truth if it jumped out and bit her, I think it's safer to believe Mrs Fenn's version.

Yes NBY , Kate , as an only cchild was apparently spoilt and you can tell from her book that she revels in name dropping., Was going for lunch at Clement Freud's anything to do with her missing daughter. Why did they have to stay in Portugal until September and only scuttled back to Briain when they were made Aguidos???

i seem to remember that the weather that year was very good!!! Maybe the sun versus the rain in Uk had something to do with it, she did look blooming with her highlights and golden tan.
