'Kids are obese at age of 2'

TUBBY toddlers as young as two are being treated for OBESITY on the NHS.
Dietician Clare Baber revealed yesterday that she treated an average of two every year.

Some are already A THIRD heavier than normal tots and face a lifetime of health problems.

Clare, who works for Gwent Healthcare NHS Trust in South Wales, blamed lazy parents who allow kids to tuck into sugary sweets and fatty foods.

She said: “It is very worrying.”

Gwent has three of the top five obesity hot-spots on Britain’s “fat map”.

Top is the Shetland Islands.



TORY MP Ann Widdecombe has slammed Eastern and Coastal Kent NHS Trust for paying people between £70 and £425 to lose weight.

I wonder what weight a child would have to be, to be called obese at 2.

This is typical of todays 'poor' society. I bet that most of the kids that are classed as obese come from low-wage earners. I have seen it myself; the women who just give their kids anything to shut them up for five minutes. They are normally young, unemployed single mothers.
I am not condemming every young unemployed mother obviously, there are some excellent ones of course, but it is from these types of poor and neglected groups within society that produce fatter children.

i know this will sound very "not modest" but i also think she is beautiful

you can let Kai came before, they can be friends!

in my time i had a pet friend from Oxford, a girl that i used to write in my first years of english lessons

when she was 14 years old she came to Portugal to spend the summer holidays with us, and i went there too

the first time her parents came with her to meet mine

we did that almost every years

we continue to be friends

Maybe what they should do..is give out a fruit and vegetable redeemable voucher, for all low income families.That way people who think they can't afford to eat healthy would have a good start.
I struggle with my weight every day..so i watch everything my daughter Annabelle eats.Luckily she loves fruit and veg.
