Parents of abducted baby reunited with the wrong child

A bizarre story! I know that of course there was no DNA testing back then but blood tests might have been able to prove that the boy and "parents" were not related.

No doubt the McCanns will be filled with "renewed hope". The actual identity of the child is irrelevant. Think Bushra and the poor wee girls in Sweden and NZ.

The police based the match to the boy's "parents" on his pointed ears!

There can't have been any missing Vulcan babies at the time!

It would be amazing if someone out there were to see the photo of the adult and see a family resemblance.

It would be wonderful to find the real son and find that he is well, but the child they brought up and cared for is their "son", whether the mother gave birth to him or not.

Oh yes, Anna, without doubt he is their son.
It must be awful for them. Like they say in the article, they've been through this once and don't want to go through it again.

I was wondering if he was estranged from his parents after reading that he sent them a letter to let them know when he got the result?

Lets hope all ends up well for everyone concerned.

This is a sad story. Hope they all get the answers they want.
