'The Maddie Files'
'The Sun' will have a 12 Page 'The Maddie Files' Pullout on Saturday - 19th October.
They advertised it on Page 9 of today's issue - with a big photo of a smiling Madeleine.
They said that she is, 'The little girl we'll never forget'.
They also called it a 'Sun Special Report'.
I expect that it will be nothing more than the 'Case' told entirely from Gerry & Kate's claims, with the usual attacks on
the Portuguese Police, & anyone who does not believe the 'Abduction' story. With SY's 'findings' added in.

I am down in Southport quite a lot for work and have to regularly pass through Liverpool. You won't get a copy of the Sun anywhere in Liverpool, for love nor money, and quite right too IMHO.macgee wrote:THE TRUTH and the sun have never met - remember hillsborough
I've also seen and heard a number of Liverpudlians voice their utter disgust at Kate McCann, both for leaving her little kids and for "consorting" with the Sun. She's done herself no favours there.

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
Carter ruck are no strangers to whooshing things of this nature before they reach the masses.
It will be interesting to see if the McCanns ask for this not to be published.
From the description given here, it sounds like an all time low has been reached with the sun. A "pullout". ?? How tacky.
There is sadly no way SY appear to be looking for a live child any longer. There is an air of resignation with all that is in the media. IMO. My impression on watching Crimewatch was that Redwood made no direct appeal to whoever has her to give her back. Neither did the parents but that is normal.
I am all for publishing the PJ files and making sure everybody is fully aware of the facts, this can only help the search. Publishing them in the Sun immediately takes away all credibility of the contents for any half intelligent person.
Mutton dressed as lamb the whole lot of them.

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
Morning Iris, sky is doing another report tonight at 7.30pm , did you watch the one earlier this week? I was having Computer problems at the time, I can get sky news but not their programmes. Of course , Rebekah Brooks is due in Court on 28th, could the McCann saga be a ploy by Murdoch to draw attention away from it? Joe Public nationwide is fed up with the McCanns who I think must know it is endgame if Amaral wins.Iris wrote:I am down in Southport quite a lot for work and have to regularly pass through Liverpool. Re: 'The Maddie Files'
Anybody Googling "The Maddie Files" gets four or five hits to MCF or Pamalam or Joana Morais, before encountering the Mirror or the Sun. They might just learn something that the Mirror or the Stun wished they hadn't.

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
A pullout of a missing child, most likely a dead child.............you really can't sink any lower than that surely. A big insult to that poor child's memory and a big slap in the face for all the parents of other missing children. When oh when is this farce ever going to end and the true criminals brought to justice? Somehow I suspect never. Whoever it was that said crime didn't pay was very wrong.

Well, we do have a Free Press... At the moment, at least and if they are prepared to toe the Government line on the subject of the McCanns, perhaps they will remain so..almostgothic wrote:Greenslade Blog:

Strangely enough they have stopped accepting comments. The Freedom of Expression is safe in the hands of the British Media. The directives of the British establishment are plainly working well

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
where did that photo come from one has to ask - because this is one thing i cannot get my head around -when a child is missing they ask for recent ones - but the little baby one with the red dress was the main one in every newspaper

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
I utterly detest that cutesy picture, it makes me feel sick every time I look at it, which sounds a horrid thing to say I suppose, but it's not because it's a picture of Maddie. It's because of what it represents - sheer greed. It brings in more money than a more recent but less appealing picture. It's used in a very cynical way - to tug at the heart strings - and not for any accurate representation of the child we are actually supposed to be looking for. Now if that were my child, I would be pushing the very latest picture, even if the child were dressed in a bin bag with a face covered in snot and chocolate.cass wrote:where did that photo come from one has to ask - because this is one thing i cannot get my head around -when a child is missing they ask for recent ones - but the little baby one with the red dress was the main one in every newspaper

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
My other half detests that pic with the red dress too and he's only ever heard me going on about this case. He's never, ever used the internet. But that photo is like THE symbol of the exploitation of Madeleine McCann.
I have a copy of Kate's bewk ( 2nd edition) and every time he sees it lying around he turns it over to avoid it.
Poor child.
6 years of being dragged around by our press and her greed driven parents.

I would think its a good possibility they are getting paid if we are to get an update on the twins etc. Of course it will all go to the "fund".kitti wrote:How much are the mccanns getting ?

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
It seems as if that photo (with sunglasses on head) first appeared in The Sun in May 2011.
http://www.gerrymccannsblogs.co.uk/press/49may11/SUN_07_05_2011.htm
Beware, have a sick bucket handy as the article is by dear old Antonella.
I don't understand The Sun having the copyright of any photos either.

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
Well the comments on the Guardian, without exception slag off The Sun .....but, the McCanns must have given them that photo of Madeleine and they must think the 12 page pull-out will help find Madeleine's "Abductor", is anything the McCanns have ever done been tasteful. They are running scared now.

Re: 'The Maddie Files'
So, the 'Pullout' claims that the Portuguese Police took over an hour to arrive.
And, that Gerry & Kate had no buggy with them.
That Gonçalo Amaral focused only on them, & then completely stopped looking for Madeleine.
And that 'over and over' the Portuguese Police offered Kate a lesser sentence if only she would
'confess' to killing Madeleine.
