Madeleine McCann: NO NEW LEAD IN POLICE FILES.
Gerry McCann yesterday admitted the police files on Madeleine's abduction hold few new leads.
Gerry McCann yesterday admitted the police files on Madeleine's abduction hold few new leads.
Gerry and wife Kate hoped the files from the bungled police investigation, released in August, would hold missed clues.
But he wrote on his blog: "We're not halfway through but there is less information than we expected."
He also said he and Kate had a particularly "difficult week" - 18 months on - and they had expanded the support team to find her.
Gerry, 40, wrote: "We do not put much in milestones, these being just another day without Madeleine."
But he said their spirits were lifted by a fundraising event in Liverpool recently.
So what make them happy....MONEY

You may well ask. Perhaps they were previously discarded for being hurtful and unhelpful.

Re: Gerry McCann....2008
If the PJ hadn't off done such a thorough job, SY wouldn't be picking the bones out off every itty bit off information that is in those files.....there would be NOTHING in the files for SY to go over.
So how are the PJ 'bungling' then?

I think this fund raising in Liverpool was a Pub Horse race night.,raised P5000. Gerry wrote in FM that it was P 2,000 but the Landlord saw it and made Gerry alter it, do you think Gerry made a genuine mistake?

Of course he did, Panda. Perish the thought that it could have been anything else!
A reminder of how, according to Eileen McCann at a very early stage, Gerry's spirits were lifted when the money started rolling in. Most parents would I think say that no amount of money would help if their child was missing.

To me , the Fund is the reason the McCanns know what happened to Madeleine NBY, it was set up with the speed of
light ....how could they know Madeleine would not be found NBY??? I was checking out the accounts and came across a good article by Paul Sargento I have just posted. Trade Creditors @ 31.3.13.......over P 17,000.!!!! they must have a mountain of stock. In March 2013 there was only P197,000 left, the rest is restricted . No wonder they are desperate to win the case.
If you are wondering why I put P instead of the pound sign, it's an American Computer so there is only the $ sign.

It's not funny though malena is it, there is one that refuses to be deleted I even tried system restore on an earlier date, that didn;t work. My big problem is I don't understand the workings of a Computer ...one time when I was with sky something went wrong and I had a real life Scottish techie from sky helping me. he asked me to try different procedures , no joy, then he said "have you cleared your cookies". I said "Pardon" ??? We both had a good laugh.

Plus there is the fact that the McCanns are not willing to give up their own material possessions (sell their house, etc) in order to find their missing daughter whom they are responsible for losing. The McCann's priorities have always been 1) Money, 2) Their freedom, 3) Their reputations, and 4) Those little children that live with them.

It was said they were in debt before the Holiday, the Portugese asked the Home Office for permission to have 6 months Bank Statements but were told that was too intrusive so didn't bother.I read somewhere that they had also changed their Bank and paid off their mortgage, they really have no shame when you think that Madeleine having made so much money for them that they couldn't even employ any Agency experienced in finding missing children......maybe that was deliberate.

Row as McCanns use £1million Madeleine fund to pay their mortgage
Kate and Gerry McCann have used the £1million Find Madeleine fund to pay their mortgage, it was revealed yesterday.
Fund organisers refused to say how much had been spent but confirmed that money donated by the public was made available for the family's living expenses.

Neither has worked since Madeleine vanished on May 3, although Mr McCann is due to return to his £75,000-a-year post as a hospital consultant this week.
Mortgage repayments on the couple's £500,000 detached home in Rothley, Leicestershire, are believed to be £2,000 a month.
The Find Madeleine fund, which has received more than £1.09million in donations from all over the world, was set up primarily to fund a publicity campaign after the little girl vanished on May 3.
It also met legal fees involved in setting up the not-for-profit business, which does not have charitable status.
But the fund's directors - who include colleagues, friends and relatives of the McCanns - ruled that they cannot use it to pay the legal team defending them against Portuguese allegations that they were involved in Madeleine's disappearance.

That has been met by a separate fund, using donations from wealthy benefactors including Sir Richard Branson.
The salary of the McCanns' spokesman Clarence Mitchell is paid by another millionaire, double-glazing tycoon Brian Kennedy.
But the Find Madeleine fund has paid for other staff, including former campaign manager Justine McGuinness,
In the weeks after Madeleine's disappearance it paid for her parents' campaign trips to Madrid, Amsterdam, Berlin, Washington DC and the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
It was revealed last month that about £300,000 had been spent, and a further £80,000 was paid out this month for a new publicity campaign in Portugal, Spain and Morocco.
Donations have slowed dramatically, however, since the McCanns, both 39, were made official suspects in the case.

Exact details of where the money has gone will not be disclosed until the end of the financial year when the accounts are made public.
Fund officials said an administrator has been appointed to ensure "the highest standards of transparency and accountability".
Mr Mitchell said last night: "The fund exists to support Kate and Gerry where their living costs would become difficult.
"Gerry is going back to work this week and they hope they will not have to rely on it for their living costs for much longer."
The McCanns have said any surplus money from the fund would be given to charities to help families of other missing children.
Friends of the McCanns have said they are anxious to keep the fund's money for the campaign to find Madeleine.
They denied Mr McCann was returning to work for financial reasons, insisting he wanted to regain a "sense of normality".
He has been on unpaid leave and his wife, a part-time GP, has not been paid while she has been off work.
It is understood that Mr McCann will initially work three half-days a week at Leicester's Glenfields Hospital and will not have any direct contact with patients until his employers believe he is ready.
His return has been approved by the General Medical Council, which regulates the medical profession, but a senior heart specialist warned last night that it could put patients' lives at risk.
The consultant, who did not wish to be named, asked: "How will he be able to concentrate on his work with his daughter missing? It is a high-pressure job and you have to make difficult decisions.
"I can tell you from personal experience that if your mind is not totally on it, it is hard.
"If he is going to be doing procedures where you have to totally focus, the only way you can do it is compartmentalise and if you can't do it, it could be very difficult. He could break down and make a mistake."
The group Patient Concern said Mr McCann should be monitored for at least three months and the public should be able to choose not to be treated by him.
Director Roger Goss said: "It's a good idea he is allowed back, but he should be monitored to ensure he is all right.
"Patients should be allowed the option of not being treated by him while the case has such a high profile. I know it sounds discriminatory but it is not unreasonable."

Re: Gerry McCann....2008
Thanks malena, for starters, Richard Branson did not contribute P10,000.....it was for Legal Fees IF the McCanns were charged. Secondly, it was Brian Kennedy, the Everglaze guy who appointed all the "Detectives" probably invoiced the Fund and the Money was put into one of his several accounts, the Detectives paid and the rest laundered. I have a copy of an interview between Metodo3 and ABCes, the Spanish Branch of the Telegraph stating that the Detectives were paid only E160,000 + E4,000 for 6 months work , not the P 50,000 per month claimed by the British Press. The McCanns also changed their Mortgage to HSBC......so they could pay it off??? Why was Kennedy's Corporate Lawyer Smethurst made a Director.? Who does the book-keeping ?
Most of all.............why is the Government reluctant to investigate?
