And no need to apologise!
I've been there too. It took me the best part of ten years to learn how to do a simple copy and paste. I just couldn't get it!

I am like you interested, thick as two planks when it comes to the Computer, I can do just the basic copy, paste, another Member made my Avatar, I still can't place a photo which is why, like you, I just quote the link.
Thanks almostgothic, you are certainly more clued up on a Computer then me. I read Blacksmith's meandering offering and must confess I didn't understand much, not one of his best .

I thought it was great stuff!

Re: Disintegration Diary, An Empty Cupboard - Blacksmith Bureau
He makes a good point. If the Yard had found solid evidence or any evidence of an abduction, why would they wait when they could get PJ on side? They don't seem to have anything,g and if they DID -- well, holding it back til after the libel trial concludes is rather cruel.
The Pros or what he calls WAs (? I think MSM means mainstream media) have had every prediction knocked down, and the contents of the libel trial folders if we get to see them will be interesting just as the PJ files were.
The predications (a little early and a lot optimistic) of McCanns' total exoneration etc being cleared and so forth were false - when the case was shelved with four possible avenues still open -- including MM death in the apt and the staging of the abduction - so many lies or misstatements have been knocked down, there is going to be little left to defend.
Is he right? Will we be closer to the truth, because we've got clear road signs about their "fibbing?"

Correct Widowan...SY would be classed as pitchforkers if they let the poor 'in the loop' parents go to Lisbon without that golden nugget>>Abduction Evidence!

ergo they ain't got it.
They have phone records proving people had phone calls in the vicinity, some of those people may have even been crooks, but they certainly don't have evidence that would stand up in court which must drive TM wild since they love talking about the lack of evidence when it helps them.
There just seems to be no evidence and in asking for bank account info, that is grasping at straws. I still hold out hope for the phone records though.

Don't believe all you read in the UK press...If Team McCann can spin, so can SY through 'in the loop' parents & in turn a 'source' close to the family.
Have read in to cell site analysis & it can make or break a suspects alibi...the process tracks a mobile phones location chronologically...even if the phone was not registered to you...how would 'smithman' explain the mobile was tracked back to 5A, after being tracked heading towards the ocean? that's IF the 'abductor' did go back to 5A of course

No...just IFS. Martin Brunt said when it was revealed SY had opened a full investigation & were taking the lead role, they were going back in time by a couple of days before the reported abduction to go through the phone records...must have given them a lot of information

Re: Disintegration Diary, An Empty Cupboard - Blacksmith Bureau
With the cost of this review and investigation now standing at 7 million, when is someone with common sense going to cry halt. The PJ were polite enough to agree to sign the letters......or have they????
Since Cameron was the instigator, he is the one who has to call halt but since he wants to be all things to all people he will not do so soon. Theresa May has the authority but Cameron overrode her opinion to do a scope on the case so she will quite happily let him get on with it.

He's saying if he did the phone records would show that.
There's no phone record that shows such a thing that the public knows of.
I do believe Sy can spin, they certainly cannot be as lame as they appear, and this is a chess game - they have to have as much if not more experience playing chess than the average perp /suspect/ media monitor - as they do it all the time.

Re: Disintegration Diary, An Empty Cupboard - Blacksmith Bureau
The PJ did investigate the tapas & McCann phone records with pings...on the mobile phones they knew about
The cell site analysis will basically see all the phone numbers in & around the scene of the crime & other places of interest...can only speculate what this evidence will show but there is no sign of a search & rescue operation

Comparison of pings from earlier in the week with police statements and information put forward in the book about trips to the beach etc. would be very interesting. Earlier in the week they may not have been so forensically aware.

Do you mean no sign of search and rescue NOW, in Portugal, based on the intell they got from the phones?
Wonder if PJ has signed off? They aren't going to serach and rescue MM out of someone's bank account, which is what they were asked to be able to do, detain people and look at bank records - that doesn't seem like whatever they have found thus far is progressed very far.

Obviously can't be Mister Gerry then, he didn't have a phone. None of the Tapas did. I know this to be a fact because Clarence said so.tanszi wrote:matthew are you saying that a person who went the abduction route was tracked by his phone going back to 5A.

Old cocoa tins were Tapas phones
Joined up with lengths of string.
