Hm. That seems like a wind up. I hope it is not true for poor Madeleine's sake. What sources - PJ were looking at burglary gone wrong I thought. They would not leak this kind of info? Who's Isabelle McFadden?

I don't know anything about the journalist mentioned or indeed the original tweeter.

I hope at long last the "pact" has collapsed.

There's such a lot of dross gets put up on Twitter that nobody knows what's true and what isn't. I'm reserving judgement until I see it for myself, posted by somebody whom I KNOW to be reliable.

Iris, I agree. It makes a change from burglars though, so something different to read.  

Wind up I assume.

Is it too much to think SY and PJ were rattling on about the tractor guy or burglars all this time while secretly investigating Payne? I think all the T9 have same lawyers, so McC's would know if Payne were being investigated.

I'd love to see this solved and the right person/s brought to justice but this seems like too much of a good thing - Redwood and SY have seen the "damning" or at least unfavorable report from Exton, they may have had some third line of investigation going on quietly but the idea it'd break on Twitter via the media is not too realistic.

It may be just nonsense, but the McCanns must be livid, as would David Payne be.........who would post this on twitter at the risk of being arrested. David Payne would prosecute surely???

Not sure there has been anything more than this? As for David Payne taking action because of this...from what i have seen this is mild

I just read the link matthew , Gerry too became a suspect when an empty file with his name on was photographed. Not sure I believe all this and wonder what evidence the Reporter Catarino has if Payne did sue. It's all happening isn't it

Now don't get carried away matthew about the Libel Trial, if Duarte is ill informed by the McCanns over Madeleine being included in the suit against Amaral, what else can we expect???
