Yemen Child marriages should be stopped
Good Evening Panda
Quite right but child marriages should not be practiced in any country claiming to be civilised. I doubt if Yemen could be considered as civilised by any definition the Arab tribal system still flourishes unhindered there.
We even have it here. A recent documentary on Channel 4 showed Imams agreeing that child marriage was wrong, and then when they thought the cameras and microphones were off, agreeing that it would be perfectly all right to marry off a girl at 14, or even younger. 8 is the youngest I have heard of and at that age they are still babies. regardless of what their bodies may tell them.
We can't stop it here, so what chance have we got in Yemen? Only today a doctor and his accomplice were involved in Female Genital Mutilation, a vicious practice and outlawed here for over a quarter of a century, yet these are the first to be tried for it.
Another example of how enriched we have become under multiculturism which even Trevor Phillips admits doesn't work, the new buzz word is integration and that doesn't work either.
Female Genital Mutilation, Honour killing, naming innocents (usually children) as witches, Ghettoes, Forced/arranged marriage, Child brides Sharia courts, no go areas. Street gangs with guns and knives, Rioting, Prayer calls 5 times a day, We have been enriched in so many ways.

Re: Yemen child marriages should be stopped
Morning katertaif
I mentioned this on another Forum a while ago very knowledgeable Members I might add.....I knew too little to keep up with the debates.
Anyway, the topic was about the Muslim religion and I asked how any cilvilised Country would have a family sell their daughter of 6 yrs to to some Sheikh
who already had a Harem. He said in the Muslim religion it is very important to retain the Dynasty so as the older Women in the Harem were unable to conceive the younger ones who had been groomed were able to carry on the blood line. He said the money paid to the Family helped them feed their Family. .

Yemen child marriages should be stopped
Good Morning Panda
They always have what at first glance sounds like a reasonable explanation for whatever they do. Until you look at it a little deeper, and realise that first of all Islam is not only a patriarchal society, but completely male dominated. The women have absolutely no say at all.
I was working for a training centre oop north. We got some Libyan trainees for 6 months, and I got the job of liaising with them. Now among other things in Islam the only way you can be convicted of adultery is to either admit it three times in court or to actually get caught in flagrante as it were by four men or eight women. One day I asked why the difference.
They all quite seriously told me that it was because of the imbalance in a woman's mind, it would require that number to get a straight story from them. I ask you what a load of drivel.
As for carrying on the blood lines, I seem to remember that henry the Eighth had a similar problem. he solved it according to 16th century values but we have moved on since then. matured a little. They have not. Their values are exactly the same as they were at the start.
When I was a shift supervisor in the power station of the King Khalid National Guard Hospital. (Staffed by English doctors and nurses for the most part) We had a Saudi air conditioning watchkeeper. He had four wives, each of whom had their own apartment on the complex (would you believe imaginatively called Medical City.) All four were instructed not to use the telephone or leave the apartment in his absence.
One day, one of them started a chip pan fire, which spread. knowing there was someone in there, our fire chief had the door broken down and rescued her himself. You or I would think he rated a medal for that. Not quite. Our watchkeeper's opinion, shared by a few of the other Saudis was that it would have been better had she perished rather than an infidel lay hands on her. Certainly she would not have dared leave the flat since her lord and master had told her she mustn't.
The point of that Panda, is what can you do with mindsets like that? They believe (or at least it is convenient for them to believe) that marrying an eight year old is OK their prophet did it so why can't they? Her name was Aisha. What kind of weird deity they worship who decrees all this I cannot imagine.

Re: Yemen child marriages should be stopped
Hi katertaif, that's terrible , that Woman could have died !!! Where live used to be Middle Class, now the influx of Muslims is unbelievable. The Women do have freedom, you see them shopping together and they don't all wear the yashmak., and they do drive cars. Also, the Husbands are very good with the children you see them picking their offspring up from school. They still don't mix though.
A few weeks ago I was with my Sister walking her Dog and passed a new smallish Housing Development with attic windows. Since that was unusual and the builders were there , being a nosey c** I asked about the attic windows suggesting they weren't necessary since Council Houses build 3 bedroom which are regarded as sufficient. He said they were for Muslim families who have more children.!!!! We just looked at each other and shook our heads, and the Government has the cheek to charge for a second bedroom.

Hello Panda
I agree completely it was terrible that this poor woman could have died and in fact would have if left to her lord and master.
Yes we see the muslim women in UK shopping and as you say not all wear the niqab. What is not generally realised is that whether they do cover the face or not depends on the husband. if he says it's all right then it's all right. if he says cover up, then they cover up.
If for some reason not the husband, then the nearest male relative who ma be her son.
Back to these Libyans, We got a coach tour up for them to Chester Zoo one day. At the Zoo the little boy of one of them - Omar was crying for an ice cream. Quite normal for a little boy of course. His mother said no, but he kept crying. Eventually she cuffed him round the head so hard, I thought his head would come off. It shut him up however.
Back in Stockton I was having a drink with the most enlightened of the four of them I think he was the political officer there to keep the others in line,, but I never found out for sure. I asked Fawzi why she reacted like that when all the kid wanted was an ice cream. His reply was that one day. Omar would have literally complete authority over her. She was getting her revenge now while she could. I ask again what can you do with mindsets like that.

Re: Yemen child marriages should be stopped
that's unbeleivable.!!! I really do fear for youngsters growing up today, Government is adopting sharia law, spending millions on accommodating those who don't speak English instead of having lessons and if the Muslims don't attend, take away their benefits. Complete lack of control over how many illegals we have , selfish i know, but I am glad I am not growing up today.

Yemen child marriage
Hi Panda
The government is on the verge of accepting sharia law at least for some things. So the sharia courts were once illegal, but they were set up in defiance anyway. On the plea that it was only for solving domestic cases, and would relieve the pressure on our courts they were made semi legal. Now they are to be equal to our own laws. how long will you give them before they take precedence over our law. Proving once again (if any proof were needed) That the object is not integration, but assimilation. It is a long term take over bid, and they will not be satisfied until the green crescent flies over parliament.
As for taking benefits off them if they refuse to learn English. That has been threatened before and come to nothing. Can you imagine the riots? These people are not like us. They will take to the streets in double quick time. Excitable to say the least. constantly calling for someone to be killed for offending Islam. The only thing they know.
What are they supposed to think? They come here, ostensibly an English speaking country. Interpreters are provided at every turn, at no expense to themselves. Asylum seekers treated with kid gloves, and outright illegals turned loose to go and get employed by another immigrant with a business. Official forms the size of a telephone directory containing every language known to man. If they want an interpreter let them hire one, at their own expense. Same with official forms. yes we can recommend an interpreter sir/madam, I believe their rates are quite reasonable. They'd learn English then, so fast it would make your eyes water.
What do successive governments do? Roll over for them at every turn. Why they refuse to represent us, the indigenous I can't possibly imagine.

I think the Government is afraid to be firm with Muslims simply because they know if they tried to stop them in any way from doing what they want to , a bomb would be placed in a strategic place to do the most damage. Not far from where my Sister lives Police raided a house on a tip-off and found it being used for making bombs!!!! Where I live is not very political and we even have Mosques and schools for Muslims!!!
One day a while ago I was at the Reception desk at my Doctor's Surgery and this Woman came sweeping in , ignored me and started speaking to the receptionist who was dealing with me. None of your cheap outfits for her, even her headdress looked designer made, she reminded me of Darth Vader.
I asked the Receptionist how Doctors could tell if they were dealing with the right Patient if they wore a nicqab, she said she supposed they carried a photo of themselves.

Child marriages should be stopped
Hi Panda
I think you have it. They (the what is laughingly called successive governments) are afraid to take them on. Not only because of the threat of rioting, but bearing in mind their Islamic brothers in other countries own most of London now, so could put the economic squeeze on. Any disruption of the oil would bring us to our knees in days. So they let them gradually take us over.
No Saudi Man would ever stand in a supermarket check out queue behind a woman, and certainly not a western one They simply push to the front as of right. I used to stand behind my government, and of course being a fella they would unwillingly to be sure wait behind me. Seething because a woman was in front. I wonder when that particular aspect of our multicultural enrichment will become normal here.

Whatever happened to Britain to bring us to this state, we are one of the smallest Countries but have the biggest Muslim population. At least the French were bold enough to ban the nicqab but this apology for a Government allowed all and sundry to come here, as did the Labour Government . The damage is done and since their children are segregated there is little hope of friendships developing between the Muslims and us.
I am cooking dinner, will catch up later.
