The advancements in forensic testing, and recent talk of remaining hair samples, are no doubt why Redwood suddenly alluded to possible death in the apartment.

So long as they dont give Andy the samples as he would probably blinking loose them.

But I did read some speculation by Portuguese members on Twitter that this MAY explain the delay in the libel trial judgement.

IIRC the tweeter who set the hare running re the Belgian lab also claimed that the Smiths had finally been interviewed and that Madeleine's medical records were now in the possession of the Portuguese investigation team.

Where the truth lies I know not.
But it does beg the question - given Portugal's judicial secrecy laws, where is this person getting all this information from?

IMO, it's an hoax and even if that were true, it couldn't have any influence on the civil trial.

We can live in hopes that it is not a hoax, though I agree that the two events will not be connected.

I personally don't believe that the two events are connected either. But I have heard from several different sources - one of them actually in Belgium - that the hair is presently with a lab in Belgium. So that bit might be true although I wouldn't like to vouch for the other.

What with those rootless hairs being tested via evolving, advanced methods, and Dr Goncalo Amaral going from strength-to-strength, one senses Scotland Yard and Team McCann are getting really spooked right now!

I don't know about Belgium ....but read that the Portugese forensics sent samples to the FSS and at the same time to a Spanish Lab. The Spanish Lab returned the sample in two weeks with a Report, FSS took a long time and eventually sent a report saying Madeleine's hair could not be isolated from the twins in the samples taken from the CAR. Later, , BECAUSE THE FSS WERE NOT ASKED TO RETURN THE SAMPLES , THEY DESTROYED THEM!!!! Fss was later sold to an American Firm.
