Westminster is preparing for the Clegg vs Farage debate on LBC later tonight. Naturally, Telegraph.co.uk will be the best place for news, analysis, comment and live video.

For all the professed disdain from Messrs Cameron and Miliband, Conservative and Labour people will be watching closely, partly to see how well/badly the two pugilists do, and partly for tips on debating technique that might help next year when things get really serious.


There's probably not too much to say about an event that hasn't happened yet - though don't miss Tim Stanley's preview - but we can safely award the prize for worst expectations management to Godfrey Bloom of UKIP, Mr Farage's sometime flatmate.


He's been on the BBC, saying this:

"Well Nigel Farage has to win. He can’t draw. A draw is not enough. It’s Nigel’s subject, it’s Nigel’s baby. It’s UKIP’s thing, so consequently he can’t come away having just drawn the game. He has to win and he has to win convincingly."

There are 150 Journalists from U.K. EU and around the World , Milliband and Cameron will not be attending.

I fell asleep half way through, but the News says Nigel got 57% and Nick 36%  . I don't like Nigel , but as an MEP he knows far more about the EU than any other Party leader, note how Cameron and Miliband declined to appear, I bet they are glad they did.LOL

Will the LibDem's appoint a new leader ? Clegg is very ineffectual.
