jinvta wrote:interested wrote:So far the only similarity that I notice is that both little girls were three when reported "missing".
Here is a major difference:
'That's why we are blaming ourselves,' he (Chloe's father) said, fighting back tears.
The McCanns have never, ever, to this day admitted any blame in Madeleine's disappearance.
I wonder if the parents took part in the searches? That would be telling as well.
At least they aren't immediately blaming a predatory paedophile!
The parents blaming themselves is a major difference in the two cases. However I notice the parents were at least under the same roof as the three children, unlike the McCanns when Madeleine "went missing". I still think there is something fiishy in the case of Chloe Campbell. There have been subtle changes in details since the story first broke.

Re: Wonder if
I don't understand, the children slept in the lounge, the missing girl slept in front of a TV set, the parents put the children to bed and then watched TV until they themselves went to bed at 1am?
A child is sleeping in front of the TV that the parents are watching? Or is there another room with another TV?

Echoes of Kate McCann on Oprah, hoping that the abductor was looking after Madeleine.
Exactly, and a dodgy shutter/catch. Don't like to be cynical but :-/

There was a bloody footprint on the bumper of the hire car. Size six.Keela wrote:The report says there is a foot/shoe print on the car roof. To be honest there are not that many similarities.

Close ... the original soundtrack goes, "Don't hurt her she's lovely".

Re: Wonder if
In Australia there is a thought it is like Madeleine McCann case. Hope this child is found soon. Gone without trace. Strange re the footprint on car which was parked so neatly under the window! One footprint though. Could say more at this stage but better not do so.

I still don't get it why they said she didn't leave the house by herself.

Re: Wonder if
Now the Daily Wail have started with this "Australian Maddie" nonsense.

Re: Wonder if
The Mail was very quick off the mark with its "another Madeleine" headlines - the first online version shrieking the message was just after 8.00 BST on Thursday.
I'm wondering if the papers have a cunning plan in mind - linking Madeleine with another case which almost certainly is not what it appears to be.

Re: Wonder if
It appears the Mccanns will jump on every bandwagon there is to keep their names in the papers. No doubt they would now have the world believe the mysterious abductor is in Australia. No families tragedies can be safe from the Mccanns, they must take everything over, only they are important. It really is extremely sickening and absolutely disgraceful.

Re: Wonder if
"We've identified the rubbish that was collected on the day and we will be going through that," Det McNab told reporters on Friday.
The family's home is being examined for any clues, he said.
Inspector Kevin Guteridge says every lead is being followed.
"What we can't afford to do is have a closed mind on this," he said.
suppose pros will call our australian police names because of that?? ie bungling etc??

The father has been hospitalised after somebody punched him in the mouth, in the main street of the town :(

Also just heard on the radio that Homicide detectives have been sent in :(
So just like Maddie, then [/sarcasm]
Oh, and "six persons close to the family" are being questioned. Sound familiar? At all?
