What a tangled web that is.Edmonds says he had photos of his boys with Maddie in the background.Interesting that he bothered to reply to Tony Bennet about that,you would think he wouldnt bother.

I do think there may be something to this.

The events as reported by whom? The McCanns and their friends? Significant discrepancies is all I've seen.

I find it amazing all of the people who, on the one hand never before met the McCanns, can then say with conviction they tell the truth / they were fantastic parents. Brigid O'Donnell was another one.

It's all just weird and sort of incestuous or something. When I think of the families I met last year on holiday, those staying close by, they could be axe murderers for all I know. Nice people to chat to yes, but how do I know what went on behind closed door and I was there a month, not five or six days.

Was every single person there from the UK ? With the exception of the Smiths, who were not staying at the O/C, was there any "foreign" guest who gave a statement ? Is it solely marketed in the UK or do European people stay there during high season ?

IM going to read the Ocean Club intakes again and see who was actually staying their that week....

Morning kitti, I too think there are too many theories and as for Edmunds, he supposedly had his three children with him, would he be the guy who dined with the McCanns who supposedly left in a hurry when Madeleine disappeared ?. Would he have left his three children alone , I think not .

I've never heard that Philip Edmonds dined with the McCanns, Panda.

Supposedly he did not know them. That makes me wonder how he could be sure that it was Madeleine in the background of his photo. Nobody can be sure what she looked like, thanks to the widely differing images that have been published of her.

I suspect that, if the photo actually exists, the child could be any one of the numerous others there at the time.

Morning NBY, there was a rumour that there was a Man dining with the McCanns on the night Madeleine disappeared who made a sharp exit. I didn't say it was Edmunds , just thought it might be.

Who was the man who flew from PDL to Switzerland with his children to return them to his wife from who he was divorced/separated? Does anyone remember what I'm on about? I think this was on the 3rd.

He was supposed to return on 5th may but left on 3rd.

Edmonds and his children checked in on 29th may and they all ate in the Tapas on 3rd may

Yes they were that age and his outward bound flight was always going to be 'played by ear'.

If you are on holiday how can your outward flight " be played by ear". Surely the accommodation is booked for a specific date and time. How was he so sure he could get a flight at a supposedly minute's notice.

He went by private jet if I remember.



He came out via gatwick on a normal plane.

If I remember, the name Phil Edmonds was bandied about a bit at the start of this circus.
