When you go to the Doctor and he starts to cry !
Well the NHS made me ill in the first place giving me an infection following a bodged up procedure. That was 18 months ago.
They filled me full of anti biotics having decided they gave me an anti biotic resistant infection.I have been prodded and poked, scanned and X-rayed and had all sorts of things shoved inside me until they pretty much destroyed my immune system. They have been unable to work out whats wrong nor provide any remedial treatment.
Well luckily i decided they had not a clue what they where doing so i stopped taking all the pills a few months ago and since then i have slowly been getting better.
The NHS at my Hospital (Princess Royal/now Kings) now contract out much of their work to private Hospitals as they cant cope.Last tests i had went to the Sloane.
I had to go to my GP the other day,the practice has six registered doctors, now three are on the long term sick so they only have three left. They only work a four day week.
So i'm sitting there telling the doctor i now want a referral to the Benenden which i joined in desperation.
So then my Doctor bursts into tears and goes into one."If it wasnt for my kids and mortgage I'd be out of here. They wont give us any help, the NHS has collapsed,we cant cope here".
Not sure how these surgerys are financed, bit like a franchise now i believe but they were refused any locum support.
I think i could have asked my doctor for a pile of opiates and he'd have given them to me.Talking to friends and family particularly someone i know who works for ambulance chasing lawyers my story is now far from being unusual.
The NHS is falling apart at the seams and run by incompetents who are troughing up whats left of the creaking budgets.
We are going to be in serious trouble soon.

I told him that he needed to help his patients and get some comfort from that, there's a surgery full of sick people out there who need your help.
Or words to that effect.
I was tempted to tell him that for the best part of 30 years i was working 6 days a week which is maybe why my bones ache.
As best i know GP's are quite well paid for their troubles so i have little sympathy.

Re: When you go to the Doctor and he starts to cry !
Blimey...you go in to see a doctor and the doctor seems to have deep depression and you come out feeling suicidal yourself after seeing him...crikey.
I go to a practice where there are six doctors.
You have the 'soft doctor'....he's the one that if you said you had rabies he would say okay..and give you a pill for it.
Then you have the 'miserable doctor'...know one likes to see him....you could be dying and he wouldn't give you the time off day.
And then you have the 'late night doctor' and doesn't he let you know how pissed he is at working late two nights a week .
And then you have the 'nice lady doctor' who is nice..but dim....she hasn't got a clue
And then you have the 'two minute doctor'...he looks at his watch and when two minutes is up he says..'here's some cocodamol...make an appointment in two weeks time if hasn't cleared up'
Last but not least, the 'go in with something and come out after being convinced what you got isn't what you have even though the systems are obvious but he is right because HEs the doctor....doctor '....
Why do they go through all the stress off studying to be a doctor when at the end off the day...they don't DOCTOR

Re: When you go to the Doctor and he starts to cry !
It wouldn't exactly fill you with confidence, your doctor bursting into tears when you've gone for help or/and advice!
yep kitti, mines the nice lady doctor whose a bit soft!!
I've been diabetic for 38 years and when I go in for my prescription she's a bit intimidated, I think.
I mean, she's 30+ years old, what can she tell me about diabetes?

Re: When you go to the Doctor and he starts to cry !
I think most surgeries are like that with a mixture of Doctors. Its just that three out of six are now off sivk.
My cry baby doctor will normally give me what ever i want.
I think a lot of these Doctors are on £100k per year so they should get on with the job for that.We have a nice you g Chinese girl who is very sympathetic and a Polish woman who looks daggers at you.
