I'm skeptical too - after all it's in the Express. But I do remember someone on the old Mirror forum kept insisting a seafront pub, which the McCanns had visited, had a very large freezer.

Re: Potential Key Witness
What I find interesting is that the potential key witness says she heard English being spoken. This rather lets off the various Portuguese 'suspects' doesn't it.

That's just what I was thinking too - if this man had been speaking in Portuguese or any other language, I'm sure we would have been informed of that fact (if only to put some poor 'foreign' person back in the frame).
I'm also wandering why someone would be talking about disposing of a body in a place where they would be so easily overheard ......

Re: Potential Key Witness
Come to think of it, who in their right mind would say:
“Why did you bring her here? Now we will have to dispose of the body.”
Unless this English-speaking man was somehow complicit in the demise or some other nefarious activity known to the corpse carrier, why would he (and 'we') feel obligated to perform this illegal action?

Re: Potential Key Witness
I remain skeptical but I must admit, it's not everyday that a UK newspaper prints a story about "disposing of a body" and "Madeleine McCann" in the same article. It seems the Express has deviated from the 'agreed' abduction mantra.
