Car Tax Discs......
As from Oct 1st your car does not need to display a paper tax disc.It is all going digital.Number plate recognition cameras will be watching you incase you havn't paid.
No longer can you buy a car that is taxed !
Very sad if you ask me as i like the tax disc and further more believe that it will just increase the problem of 'cloning' number plates. Also if you drive someone else's car and its not taxed then it is also not insured,so how would you know ?
We also have had a spate of yobs stealing number plates around our area and going to fill up their cars at the garage and legging it without paying.

How many people are going to get a fine while the glitches and system crashes are sorted out?

Re: Car Tax Discs......
Back in pre-history I worked briefly in the car road tax department.
The cost was £9.03.00 for a quarter and £25.00 for a year!
Modern equivalents: £138.57 and £378.62.
