A tragic toddler froze to death in deadly -10 degree conditions after the tot left his house to try and find his mum.
Marina Yefimova, 29, had put her 18-month-old son Gleb to bed before popping out to see some friends in the tiny Russian village of Sosnovka. After waking to find her gone, little Gleb managed to get down the stairs and open the back door, which had been left unlocked.
Searching for Mum: Gleb managed to get down the stairs and out of the house
He then went out into the sub-zero temperatures to try and find his mum but succumbed to the freezing conditions. His body was found several hours later by a distraught Marina after she returned.
A spokesman for the nearby hospital where Gleb was taken said: "When she brought him in she was hysterical. We did all we could to try and resuscitate the child but in these temperatures he didn't stand a chance. Sadly there was nothing we could do."
Sub-zero temperatures: A church in snowy Sosnovka
The mum is now facing charges of neglect.
A police spokesman said: "When questioned she first said she had gone out to get wood for the fire. But she soon admitted she’d left him alone to go and see friends."

18 months old he got out off bed, down the stairs and out off the door which was unlocked.
Now tell me, HOW could Madeleine NOT get out off the bed and out off the patio doors and down the stone stairs.
How could the mccanns say that Madeleine could NOT leave that apt on her own....

"The mum is now facing charges of neglect."
So then why aren't the McCanns facing neglect? Surely this woman has suffered more than the McCanns since her child is dead due to her neglect, not just missing an presumed dead.
If the McCanns having suffered enough is their excuse for not being charged, then why isn't this woman considered to have suffered enough?
Seems that the McCanns are the only people on the planet getting away with neglect these days.
