Man with child abuse images 'wanted to help in Maddie McCann inquiry' - STV

STV "News" has an article about a 68 year old man with a stash of child abuse images who claims he was downloading the images to help find Madeleine. (Sorry, I can't include the article here but it can be found at www.stv.tv/news)

His lawyer claims the man became fixated with pornography after reading Kate's book.

It's sickening to think he is using Madeleine as an excuse for his perversion. Poor Madeleine, her memorary dishonoured by her parents; I guess it's no wonder perverts try to claim innocence by using her as well.

The "Aberdeen Press and Journal" has the story as well, complete with his picture. He is described as being a "one-man crusade" to find Madeleine. He has pled guilty to four charges of possession and distribution of child and "extreme adult pronography" but has not notified British or Portuguese police about his "investigation".

y'know, the bullshit excuses people will use to justify or excuse their behaviour these days is just unbelievable. personally i feel this individual is beyond help and the compassionate course of action to take would be to put him down.

The mucky parts of Kate's novel are close to pornography, in my opinion!

Presumeably, all the 'images and videos' were of female children of 11 years, almost 12 years 'old', as Madeleine would be.?

You know, the images and videos he was 'looking' at to 'aid' his 'search', for Madeleine.

However, HE has probably DONE 'MORE SEARCHING' 'for' Madeleine than her very OWN parents, ever did!

And more 'searching' than that of her extended 'families', or her parent's 'holidaying' friends, or, some say, even OG/LP/SY/MET!

According to STV News (on line) the "one man crusade" has avoided a jail sentence. He was sentenced to 200 hours of community service with three years supervision. He will be on the sex offender registry for the three years. The court fell for his story after the psychology report stated he was "not a sexual deviant". Unbelievable!!!! Now this excuse will be used by countless others.
