What was the child doing on the building site by himself?

Good question. Asks more questions than answers them really. Was it near the farm that Bens Grandad was doing up?

If this all turn to be true. There will be many questions. About neglect at least.

I wondered about that but I'm also thinking that the truck could have been driving past Ben's grandfather's house going to and from the building site.
Re: Digging for Ben
I think the building site was within 50 metres (read that somewhere but cant find link). What is hard to explain is, if a todler had run onto a building site and accidentally been run over by a digger, why would they have covered it up?

It may be that Ben didn't run onto the site, but the digger driver drove to and from the site past Ben's grandfather's house. Who knows? The driver was drunk? He had a reputation for reckless driving?

His son had DNA taken? Wonder if this is a non story like we are constantly getting with the Mccanns?

He looks nothing like Ben would have looked and I think we just have an attention seeker here.
Re: Digging for Ben
I feel in the coming weeks that a lot more questions are going to be raised about this. Apparently it was in the newspaper this weekend that the police weren't called until 11 hours after he was found to be missing. The grandmother said that she went inside " for a few moments" and when she came out he had gone. If a digger truck or any kind of truck had gone past where he was, wouldn't she have heard it? Why leave a little tot like that unattended anyway? There are shades of McCann here. I wouldn't be surprised if the waters are deep and muddy and there are a lot of questions requiring answers.

Re: Digging for Ben
There certainly are some unanswered questions about how Ben came to be missing, Keela.
Supposedly he was playing outside when suddenly he went quiet which, as every parent knows, is something that needs to be investigated immediately!

Re: Digging for Ben
I read today that the police want to demolish part of a farmhouse, an extension that what was put up at the time of Ben's disappearance. I have thought from the beginning that poor little Ben would be found on that land. I was not surprised that they did not find him in the earlier excavations, I never thought that it was done properly. Just seemed to be a cursory run across the land with a digger, never looked meaningful to me. Poor Kerry, the agony she must be feeling

Re: Digging for Ben
They had the dogs there in 2012 and did a pretty intensive search though, how come the ancient burial ground wasn't uncovered then?

I still think they are looking for a dead Patsy for whatever reason and they want it done quick! Sad IMO.
