We need your help to find Elena Zhagorova
Elena has been missing from Tottenham, north London since 21 May 2008. She was last seen at Highgate Underground station shortly after 1.30pm, there has been no sign of Elena since and her current whereabouts are unknown.
Elena or Alyona as she is known by her friends was born in Latvia on 31st January 1970 and moved to London in 1991. She is 5ft 5in tall and of slim build with shoulder-length, fair hair but often changed her style and colour.
Elena has very good English

She had returned to work at beginning of May 2008 following a serious depression. But the return to work (without having any professional therapy to speak of) had triggered off the depression again.

Elena went to a hospital appointment with her partner on the Tuesday morning -which was very unsatisfactory.
On the Wednesday morning she texted her partner Charles: 'All fine darling -look out for new things -love A. xx'
Charles didn't understand what it meant - next day was 22nd and in lack of response to Charles’s text messages he got in touch with his sister who was in touch with her flat-mates and told him she hadn't come home that night. (21st into 22nd)
Immediately Charles felt very concerned. He got a phone call from a friend of Elena’s who told him the police were at her flat and there was a letter for him.

In London Elena’s friends searched lakes and woods in the locality – In the letter Charles didn't recognize as her at all - she wrote that she was cruel she destroyed men and turned them into desert -Love wasn't strong enough to save her- she had this fixation she was evil (but a kinder more generous person doesn't exist). But nothing about killing herself.
So all the time Charles expected something but absolutely nothing -apart from a false sighting a few weeks later.

On the day Elena disappeared 21 May she had gone to the passport office to pick up her passport - it wasn't ready and she was told to return 3 hours later but she never did.
A friend phoned her inviting her around for the evening whilst she was walking in Hyde Park and she said she might.
She took a tube back to Highgate arriving 13h30 (approx.)
Then the trail goes cold at 16h30 when she last consults her mobile messages near her doctors (also near to the allotment she worked on with her flat mates)

I have emailed all Uk media and radio stations so hopefully someone somewhere will pick up on Elena's disappearance. Its so sad that people like Charles are left in limbo not knowing where their loved one is. I hope the appeal letter works and you get some good news very soon charles.
