Re: Jiao Ai
Why are all these children missing?????? You have got to read this!
Missing: 37 children the HSE failed to protect
Concerns are rising for the well-being of children who are missing from state care
Ken Foxe, Public Affairs Correspondent
AT LEAST 40 youngsters have gone missing and vanished without trace while in the care of the Health Service Executive (HSE) in the past three years.
The vast majority of them were young asylum seekers, who had arrived in the country as so-called "unaccompanied minors".
According to figures from the HSE, a total of 54 young asylum-seekers vanished during the course of 2007 and 2008.
Of that number, 37 remain unaccounted for, sparking serious concerns for their well-being and the possibility they were victims of human trafficking or worse.

Re: Jiao Ai
Ive emailed all the media in Ireland to try and get them to highlight more of the missing people over here. Ive given them the stastistics since 2003 of people who have disappeared in Ireland along with a list of those who are currently missing. Hopefully more than one of the papers here will run the story.
heres what I sent
I became interested in missing people in May 2007 following
the disappearance of Madeleine McCann which started the ball rolling for people to
realize how many missing people there are actually in the world and since then I have
been shocked at the attitude taken by the majority of people regarding the matter of not only Irish missing people but missing people in general.
There are a lot of good people out there who are willing to show their support but
when it comes down to brass tacs I have found that most people shy away from the
issue of missing people like it is a disease. The attitude is its not my problem. But what if this was to happen to you tomorrow?. Would you like to know that your loved one would get the attention they deserve and that every person in Ireland or wherever they disappear from knows they are missing. I know I would.
The media show great interest when a child first goes missing but after a short while
that is it, it is left to the families to try and keep their loved one in the public eye. I
have learnt this through working with the Mother and Stepfather of Irish Girl Amy Fitzpatrick who disappeared in Mijas Costa Spain on 1st January 2008. Although Amy got extensive coverage when she first went missing it is now 20 months since she disappeared and her mam is finding it so hard to get her information in the media to keep her face out there with the hope that someone somewhere might know
Something.
These are the statistics taken from the Garda missing person’s website for missing

These people deserve to have their names kept in the public eye and their families need to know that there is support out there for them. Put yourself in their shoes for just 1 minute and imagine having one of your loved ones disappear off the face of the earth living in limbo every day not knowing where they are or what happened to them. Then imagine living with this fear year after year. Not having them around for Christmas, birthdays and other special occasions that they should be there for.
I ask you this question “what is the value of an Irish missing person?" To me they are priceless and they should all be put on display for people to see them. The families of these missing people deserve to know what happened to their loved ones and they should not be left on a shelf. Someone somewhere knows what happened to these missing people and there has to be others who know who was involved in their disappearance. Yes some people do decide they are going to cut all ties with their families and disappear but there are others who don’t have that choice. Some of these missing have children of their own, had good jobs, have loving families and they deserve to have their lives back.
I am asking you as a mother myself to please highlight these missing people and get as many people as possible to know they are missing.
