Obama Gets The 'Peace' Prize !!

Anyone know what for ? Didnt think he'd actually done anything yet.
(Methinks nominations for the prize closed in February, just two weeks after he was inaugurated!)

But brings me to the point of the 'Peace' prize as its inventor Alfred Nobel was also the inventor of Dynamite and Gelignite i seem to recall from my school days.
I do believe he also had a major share holding in a rather large 'Armaments' factory where he made cannons !! Presumably the plan was to use these for recreational purposes only ?

I guess that bliar,once he is president of europe, will also be in the frame for this coveted prize ?

Yes Bliar will deffo be in line. It is wasn't so serious it would be funny. As for Obama being awarded the prize, well, it is like he is being awarded just for not being George Bush, I'm sure a more suitable candidade could have been found.

Maybe it is to encourage people to see him in a postive light? He does have a whole new approach to trying for peace.....

We will wait and see how Obama reacts to Irans latest announcement that it will build 10 more sites to produce weapons grade uranium.
