Re: Who is on a diet at the moment
I just lost a stone in 36 hours on the 'norovirus' diet...............
Not to be recommended though as its knocked my immune system out and all my old time ailments have jumped up and bit me on the bum.
Still at least i got back to work that takes my mind of it until i get home and everything hurts.........

Being happy and confident is far more important than some label on an item of clothing
I eat whatever I like and I walk either up the mountains or down the beach most days therefore dieting is off the agenda.
I'm a happy, curvaceous size 14 so there is alot to be said for an invigorating long walk over large amounts being spent on diet supplements (and yes I've tried those too over time).

So true.
Walking is wonderful therapy. I was out this afternoon doing just that.

thats the hardest part - motivation.
I was at the point where I was gasping for breath when I climbed the stairs and couldn't muster up the strength to embark on this diet, I had researched for months. Sadly it was a personal tragedy that got me going. I can't explain it other than to say, I was extremely numb and I wanted to 'feel' something, even if it was hunger.
Anyway almost six stone off has left me glowing with health and in a size 10-12 jeans.
Something will click and often it happens when you least expect it. Don't force it or punish yourself otherwise you'll eat more and go round in circles.
Walking helps me stay on track.

Re: Who is on a diet at the moment
JF..have you ever tried WW or slimmers world?
short version ...weight watchers assess your height/weight/age and allocate daily points...i was on 21pt to begin with and drop a point for each stone lost...
example..14stone=21pt....13stone=20pt...12stone=19pt....this system was called the discovery plan though WW have a new plan called pro-points..which i haven't tried ..the old one works fine for me.....
example of meals....1 med grilled lean pork chop..4pt...any amount of veg=0pt..large jacket pototo and teaspoon butter=5pt
poached egg on 2 tst=4pt..unlimited grilled tomotoes 0pt...unlimited grilled mushroom=0pt
slice of ham=1pt....bread=1pt....any salad 0pt

Re: Who is on a diet at the moment
see previous message..i prefer WW because i like to manage portion control...with slimmers world i could get out of control 'cause i graze a lot...WW..with so as long as i count points i eat what and when i like...but both plans work...if you try
