Re: the Catholic CHURCH
I'm sorry, I must disagree. The church, is a superb prop and a source of solace and comfort for those of that particular faith in times of need. But, like Parliament it is also quite plainly a haven and refuge for deviants, conmen, spivs, common thieves and wasters who would die at the thought of having to do a real days work.

Malena, I am sorry if I offended any faith of yours, I don't ridicule anybody's beliefs, and I know the church is some comfort to people.
It is like everything in life, the minority spoil it for the masses....

eddie, no probs at all, honest. It is my fault entirely .....I should have dropped a smilie in there somewhere. I really meant to highlight the corruption in any institution is caused through those who run it or work within it. Once again, no probs, no offence taken.

Now, now! Peace be with you my children, and as the 'practising atheist' himself would say, "Goodnight, thank you, and may your God go with you".
I refer of course to the one and only Dave Allen (RIP).

I met him once, in 1986. He was very charming in real life, too. A sad loss.
